Apparently making reservations means nothing at this establishment. My wife made reservations yesterday for 8pm stage-view... seating as we were really looking forward to attending the show. We walked in to find all those seats taken. The serverattempted to seat us in the very back, but were told someone had taken those seats as well. We were then informed that judgesfor the show were in our reserved seats and that the show was sold out. Why would you allow more people in than you are able toaccommodate?! If I were the manager I would have had the judges move and stand somewhere so that guests' reservations could behonored. This was hugely disappointing as there are such few queer establishments in the Springs, and my wife was looking totreat me to a nice evening out before I have to leave with the military for awhile. So happy to find this place upon moving to the Springs! A friendly, welcoming, positive atmosphere, incredibly talented and... sweet staff, great decor, tasty drinks, and love the gourmet hotdogs. So glad this place exists! It's a small venue so make sure to make a reservation. If you are there to see a show or drag show,... you'll want to reserve upstairs versus the basement and you'll pay a small cover charge. Make sure to bring cash to tip theperformers! The service is excellent and they really try to accomodate you but since it's a tight venue and gets very packed, itgets difficult to maneuver. The drinks are tasty and the food is delish. The performers are fantastic. You would normally pay$20-$50 cover for shows like this in Denver or other places. I hope in the future they are able to move into a bigger space tobe able to have a larger performance area. Read more
The cocktails left something to be desired- maybe it was what we ordered (the creamy variety). Five plus stars in the service,... ambiance and talent department! Just absolutely wow all around. Really impressed with the quality of talent - listen to theseother reviews. My friend and I were originally seated at the back and the host immediately moved us to the front of the housewhen there was an opening. Absolutely fabulous restrooms too - both unique! I have to say that Icons is absolutely the best Colorado Springs experience. Every single bartender can sing better than most... Vegas performances. This is the best experience I've ever had at a bar. If I could leave a billion stars I would. ColoradoSprings has needed an LGBT+ experience this good for so long. Read more
BE WARNED: When you walk through Icons' metallic silver door, you are unwittingly passing through a portal to another dimension,... in which all of the very attractive and unbelievably warm-hearted bartenders greet you with hugs and "hey baby, we're so gladyou're here!"s, and then get up and perform musical numbers that you should have to pay significant sums of money to enjoy, forthe mere price of a delicious cocktail. You can wear whatever you want and dance as wild as your heart desires without any fearof judgment. Everyone you meet will surprise you with how open, kind, loving and frickin cool they are. Even the bathrooms willamaze you. Laughter and dancing are very common side affects. The good vibes may overwhelm your body if you're not used to suchintense levels of joy. This place is a gold mine of amazing decor, beverages and food, entertainment, service, and great experiences. We just went last... night for my wife's birthday and had an absolutely amazing experience. It's such a warm and welcoming bar with that neighborhoodfeel. We want to become regulars. We stopped in at Icons for a little entertainment and few drinks while in Colorado Springs. It's not a big place, but it also... has a downstairs and a back patio. The atmosphere was festive and it was a lively crowd. The drinks were reasonably priced andstrong. What's not to like! Read more
