Dozo Sushi and Bar is the best Sushi restaurant in Colorado Springs. Great service, beautiful fresh fish. I love the ambiance... and variety of sushi ???? and other Japanese food options. Its my treat to come here abs splurge with friends. They have callahead reservations, which I highly recommend. Ask for Perry Rose, Esther or Alice. They are awesome. You must try the seaweedsalad, the CC roll, the poke roll, the Dozo Sushi roll, and the soft shell crab roll. ???? the kill bill roll is nice andspicy!! Read more
Dozo is my favorite place for sushi in The Springs, without a doubt! They truly go out of their way to make the experience... special, from the kind servers, to how beautifully the sushi is displayed - not to mention how delicious it is! Currently, forHalloween, it's beautifully decorated with a Harry Potter theme! What a pleasant surprise, but in addition to that, they areusing money from the special menu to donate to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. They were busy on a Friday evening,unsurprisingly, so I recommend making a reservation! You won't regret it :) Read more
Would like to start by saying what brought us to try this place was the fact that the owner responds to his own google reviews... and some of his response are GREAT! He responds to the negatives ones that I feel are not valid negative reviews!! First timetrying it and it was good. My husband and I feel that we know good sushi. We like very fresh, not overly sized, or overlycomplex. We like sushi you are able to actually taste the good fish. This place was on it. The rolls were good sized. The fishwas great. Fresh and not fishy. They don?t use a ton of sauce to try and mask anything. This place has some of the best sushi wehave found in Colorado. Let?s talk about the presentation as well - we?ll just look at it for yourself. Lots of color andbeauty. The presentation was on point!! We also ordered the pork gyoza fried and it was really good too. The shell of it wasthink and crispy. Most places seem to put a thick shell on them that either are doughy or over fried. Very fresh and definitelytaste like made with love. The staff was super friendly and kind. Loved the environment since it was warm and cozy. Gives youthe feel of being part of the fun. The waiting area has a great library that gives it a vibe that invites you to stay andhangout. Met the owner and he was very nice as well. We will be back and bringing others with us. Read more
Absolutely a delight. Sushi was quite superb, with a large variety of veggie rolls available (that were rolled to perfection).... Presentation was stunning, with the garnishes forming art while being equally suited to complement the food. For the price ofthe rolls, it was valued very well. On top of that, chill atmosphere - beautiful waiting area, yet it was easy to get atable. 100% recommend. PS, I heard they make their own sauces, which I'd believe it, because the soy sauce was tactful, wellexecuted. Read more
The absolute best customer service from every single employee I have ever seen. The food looks and tastes amazing! I worked at... another sushi restaurant for a couple of years and set my expectations pretty high, but this place goes above and beyond. Willdefinitely be back a lot more! Thank you guys! Read more
Quite literally the ONLY place in Colorado Springs, nonetheless in Colorado, where I will get sushi. The staff and chefs are so... pleasant, and the only sushi place i have been to that carefully caters to those with gluten intolerances (such as myself). Thefish is always so fresh despite being in a landlocked state, and the plates are always beautifully arranged (to include theto-go orders). The restaurant itself is so cozy and clean, the prices are more than reasonable, and overall it is a spectacularplace to dine for sushi or Japanese/Korean food! Read more
