If there’s one thing I know, it is coffee. I have spent many years of my life roasting coffee professionally and nearly as... many as a barista. Building Three’s coffee is among the best coffee I’ve had. It is easily a new favorite of mine in thestate. . . and that’s due to the complete experience I received, which all began with amazing staff. The two girls serving mewere professionals and so very kind. Their smiles and friendly approach were clearly genuine and they ran a shop well! It wassuch a comfortable stay that I spent nearly the entire day at Building Three and loved that the Lincoln Center location meantbreakfast, coffee, and many other activities were available to me there. Professionally, if I had to give any constructivefeedback, I’d say this: I prefer sparkling water as a cleanser with my espresso. It’s just a fun added bonus. As for theespresso itself, it was a tad roasty. I’d also say I felt a little in-the-dark about my pour over choice. Other than knowingit was an Ethiopian, I was educated very little here. Washed? Natural? Not sure. If this information was clearly displayed, Iapologize, but I prefer that information pretty visible in my shops. It wasn’t the best Ethiopian I’ve had, but I wasn’tsure what to judge it against without any context on the variety, region, grade, etc. Perfectly serviceable and totally got thejob done. Would drink it again happily. Overall, GREAT shop. Will be back! Read more

i went in at 10:20 and it was pretty busy. they had a lot of seating and i wanted to stay and enjoy a good book, but because it... was so active and the music was really loud, i decided not to. this is a good place to meet up with friend instead of have aquiet morning by yourself. the customer service was great, it really felt friendly and welcoming. they bring out your drinkcalling out your name (which makes it really personal and nice). i was hoping to get a bagel or some type of food, but it lookedlike the morning rush had gotten there faster and taken all their supply ???? i got an iced latte with honey lavender syrup. itwas 5.20 for a 12 oz. the espresso flavor tasted really smooth and rich, although i didn’t taste much lavender. i think iwould have enjoyed a vanilla latte better. it probably would’ve tasted better hot, but since it was 90 outside i decided tonot to be cruel to myself and go for cold. waiting for my drink took about three-five minutes. while waiting, tho, this othercustomer and her dog kept on staring at me. quite unnerving, but whateves. this was an overall okay place. not one of myfavorites out of colorado springs, but glad i tried it. Delicious vanilla latte with oat milk. Nutty and creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness! The staff are also really nice and... friendly. Husband loves the drip coffee! One of the best coffee shops in the Springs! Read more

The profile of the espresso beans really stands out, even from a milk-based espresso drink. It’s citrusy, with nutty sweetness... lingering around. Open and airy space with friendly baristas and some cool customers ????:) Read more

I've had both the seasonal Maple Bourbon Honey latte and the Butterscotch latte from here. They have unique and complex latte... syrups, which I appreciate. Building III's espresso is rich and smokey. All-in-all, they make a damn good latte. The atmosphereis simple, open, and clean. The location is great too with lots of seating in the school's halls. The only downside is I feellike this place is the most hipster of all hipster coffee shops in the Springs. Now, depending on who you are, you mayabsolutely love that. All power to you. However, to us regular jeans and t-shirt people, I think it feels...confusing. I guess Ijust don't understand what drives one to refuse to brush their hair, but wear designer clothing. Or the guy with the laptopsticker that says, "tax the rich" and yet he's on a new model laptop, with an iPhone in hand, while drinking a drink that likelywasn't cheap. (I'll let the hypocrisy slide...he's young and probably hasn't had Economics 101 yet.) Regardless, the"hipster-vibe" isn't Building III's fault. But, for some reason they attract a particular group, which in-turn makes this placefeel less family-friendly. I don't mind much either way. I always get in some good people watching and I think its important tostay in-touch with all generations. But I wanted to at least mention this in my review: if you're looking for a trendy hang-out,this is the place. If you want to just have some casual coffee and not be surrounded by people glued to technology with aninteresting fashion sense...I'd go elsewhere. ???? Read more

Always great coffee here. I highly recommend the nitro cold brew, because it’s so rich and smooth. I’ve also tried their... cappuccino, and that’s excellent as well. We just got the bagel sandwiches today (pictured), highly recommend! They’rebeautiful to look at and delicious! Read more
