Reviews for La Parrilla de Manila in Colonia, NJ
I ate here and was so surprised how good it was. My sister in law knew the owner from the university and told me his mother was... an incredible cook, and it is all her recipes. Everything just had that subtle taste that is the difference between good andgreat. Read more
WAYYY OVERPRICED! The food is decent but nothing out of ordinary but super overpriced! I ordered 10pcs. turon and they charged... me $35, like are you kidding me? This place doesn't deserve any stars but you cannot leave a review otherwise. Thought we would try this place regardless of the... reviews. Well let me just say, this place caters to who they want. We sat down at a table for 20 minutes, no one ever came toask us if we wanted a drink or check on us. Then a Filipino couple came in and got a drink order, table settings and attention.Meanwhile the entire time we were there the waitress that was in the dining that passed us 3 times kept apologizing to the tablenext to us that the kitchen was backed up with Togo orders instead of making dining room food. Not the best customer service andI will never come here again, not will I recommend it to anyone. Read more

Delicious Filipino good! We had family style meals. Everything was fresh and made to order. Will return for more!
One of the best Filipino restaurants in NJ. Our go-to family-style orders are always the fresh lumpia, calamari, barbecue... chicken/pork, and lechon kawali. Everything is delicious and never too salty. Service is top-notch and fast. Come taste howamazing Filipino food is! Read more
I made a reservation for a specific time, but we were running late so I decided to call to let them know that we would be about... half an hour late. The young lady who answered informed us that they were heavily understaffed and asked me if we would like toplace order on the phone so that we wouldn't have to wait. I unfortunately had to decline because we didn't know what we wantedyet. When we got there, we rang the bell and we were greeted with the young lady whom I later discovered to be the hostess, waitress, food runner and bus girl. She promptly checked each of our temperatures before we were seated. She took our drinkorders after which, I watched how she managed to care of three other tables that were enjoying their meals. After waiting forabout 10 minutes, she came back with our drinks and took our orders. The menu was quite full but unfortunately, they didn't havethe appetizer that we were all craving that evening (chicharon bulaklak.) We ordered an array of dishes and each and every oneof them were delicious. They were portioned just right (maybe even larger) for a party of five. The flavors and the freshness ofthe ingredients were all there. Kudos to the chef who prepared them. The crispy pata were all kind of crispy and fatty in thebest way. The bulalo took me back to Tagaytay. The pinakbet was made with fresh vegetables. The sisig and the pork BBQ made mewant to take a shot with my barkada back home. And you can't have a proper Filipino dinner without rice; garlic fried rice thatwast just comforting. I have to admit that I was very hesitant after I was told that they were understaffed, especially aftershe asked if she could take our orders over the phone before we even arrive. But I was shockingly surprised by how everythingturned out and the quality of the food. Very impressed. Definitely will be back, especially on a Friday when they have streetfood specials. Read more
