Stopped by to get some food while passing through the area. Got a well-done burger. 35min wait. There were only 5 people in the... building, none had food besides me. The meat was still red, had to buy food again somewhere else. Not a comfortable place toenjoy a meal. The vibe was off, waitress assumed I wanted my food to go when I first showed up and sat down to order. Got looks, probably because I wasn?t from the town. Read more

Ambiance was great, live band. The fried pickles were yummy. The Buffalo nachos had great presentation BUT, cheese was cold,... chips were a tad stale and in general had a funny (not good) taste. I mentioned to the server, sent back, but was still charged:(. Read more

Don?t let the décor fool you, this place is authentic. The decor is not traditional New Orleans but what folks in Destrehan,... Mandeville, etc think of when they hear New Orleans. Place is super clean and neat which if you know NOLA usually means it won?tbe any good but this place is the real deal. The blackened redfish was spectacular. It was nice to taste a dish in the Midwestwhere blackened doesn?t mean burnt and dry. The only reason I didn?t do 5 stars is the fried pickles were somehow thick andbattery despite being thinly cut. Can?t speak for the other apps but the portion size and quality from the fried pickles didn?treally match the cost. Redfish, shrimp poboy, and étouffée are all a must try. Read more

Great flavor, flavor was on point. I was confused about red beans and rice, familiar with various recipes or versions of red... beans and rice. It does actually include a tad bit more rice. There were like a few rice grains almost like a soup. Gumbo tastesgood as well, found it to be unusually watery consistency. Makes me feel it is not completely authentic. A good effort for Cajunfood in this part of the country, I guess. Read more

Tori is amazing! We got to go today and enjoy dine in and it?s been some time because of the pandemic. I got the super sampler... which I had before and my favorite dish is the etouffe (with craw dead) and everything is deliciousssss. Seriously. She made asunrise style mimosa that was so good too. I also had a bloody mary and original mimosa. I went previously and had the bloodymary bar, super sampler and a variety of the gooey butter cakes. They are always super delicious. I highly recommend trying anyof the gooey butter cake flavors and also the super sampler. I?m addicted and will be back. Everything is so tasty and the teamthere have always been super awesome.
