The sandwiches and burger the others in my group got were fantastic but my food (open faced roast beef sandwich) was very bland... and the ?Texas toast? promised was just raw white bread soggy with gravy. My ?vegetables? were clearly canned and mushy with noseasoning as was promised, yet my meal cost the most of my party (12.50). Read more
Omelet was pretty good. I liked the way the filling had been cooked on the griddle but there was a bit more grease. Bread sides... were so so. Place has a fun feel. Only major criticism was bench seating for booths were not comfortable. Would want to go backto try lunch menu. Read more

A nice little place with old school diner vibes. The ladies working the dining room at breakfast were cordial and accommodating,... and my breakfast came out pretty quickly! I'd say $13.64 for the Special + hash browns and a hot mug of coffee with top offs wasa bargain! Read more

I take my sandwiches very seriously and so do the folks at The Sandwich Shop Diner, a cozy restaurant on the main drag in... Collinsville, IL. This place is a real STL metro treat. The menu isn?t overwhelming. They have good, reliable, and fun burgersand sandwiches that all come with chips or french fries for a couple bucks extra.
