I came in on a whim on Friday and found myself with a good amount of choice for seating. With the weather having a slight breeze... and dusk not yet started, the windows and door like windows were all open and the place felt just the right level of casual fora nice Friday dinner. I had the Tierra y Mar Burrito. It was honestly delicious. The shrimp was juicy, the steak had just theright level of chew for a burrito, and I got lucky and the poblano that was used in mine had a little kick to it. If anything,my only complaint about the burrito Is the aesthetic choice of having it pre-cut. It makes it difficult to actually eat itcleanly or as a burrito should. I ended up resorting to a fork and knife after everything fell out of the cut open ends. Mindyou, still delicious. I was easily entranced by the offer of a coconut flan and was completely enamored by the creaminess ofit. The coconut flavor was mild so you could still enjoy the flavor of the egg cream, But without a doubt I definitely couldhave eaten several. Overall, my meal was delicious, the place itself is lovely, and the staff were very polite and helpful. Mywaiter was quite thorough in explaining things to me, and I was too polite to say that I already knew most of them... I'mawkward like that. But, despite that awkwardness, I will most certainly be coming back. Read more

Food is pretty good! Took a bit for it to come out but clearly freshly prepared. Very cozy and the staff is super friendly and... inviting. Collingswood is a dry town but they will provide the margaritas mix and glasses if you BYOB. Overall nice placedefinitely recommend. Read more

Fantastic food! They just changed their menu, so as of the day I?m writing this review, the online menu does not accurately... reflect what they have. We went on a Saturday night and did not need a reservation. This is not the place for traditionalMexican dishes. Rather, the food takes Mexican classics and puts a fresh and modern twist on them. My girlfriend and I did atapas style dinner. We had the flavor of the day empanadas, pork belly quesadilla, and nachos with Jack fruit. Everything tastedamazing. I specifically loved the pork belly quesadilla as it was juicy and flavorful. The empanada flavor was goat cheese andvegetable, and came with an amazing fruity sauce. The three dishes were enough to fill us up and bring some nachos home.Service was slightly slow, but I was fine with it as we were enjoying ourselves. While I?m not vegetarian, I was pleasantlysurprised at how many vegetarian options were offered. 2/3 of our dishes were vegetarian friendly and delish! Would 100 percentrecommend and would definitely come back with some of my vegetarian friends. It?s BYOB, so make sure you bring tequila for theirhouse made margarita mix. I cannot wait to come back! Not a great experience, on any level. I can?t describe this as Mexican, or as TexMex. More Mexican in theory than in flavor.... Service was slow and inattentive. There seemed to be plenty of staff but they were doing busy work. The $9 house made guacamolehad not been seasoned and seemed to amount to one avocado and a couple of pieces of tomato. The chips were warm and delicious. The salsa lacked flavor. My fajitas were served not on a hot grill plate as in most restaurants, but just as a stew on a plateaccompanied by lettuce avocado and sour cream. When I questioned this, the staff member who brought it to the table said shedidn?t know how it was served normally, because she doesn?t usually work at this location. ???? The fajita stew was quite sweet, tasted like an Uncle Ben sauce. Read more

I really struggled with this dinner experience. No flavor, no character. My steak was a decent quality piece, but had no soul.... The roasted vegetables were seasoned, but the overwhelming smell of gas to cook them was too distracting. Salvageable part ofthe experience- the wonderful open windows, decent music, friendly staff, best guacamole this side of the gulf. We love therestaurants in town, and Tortilla Press is one of the ol' stand bys. Read more
