We have been here Osaka before just now this location(collierville), and we have always had great service and food, but this... time was different, and I do understand about employees shortage so I am very patient, but last night was the worst service Ihave ever had, it took so long to get the basic service like water, which we never even got refill on water, our servicer wasn'tpolite never came back to check on our party and it took 2hrs to get our food, I couldn't believe it, and yes I know there isshortage of help but let us know are behind and have forgotten us. We had very good experience with Osaka, we came here based on my Japanese coworker?s suggestion. We read the review about the... price so are very cautious about the price. When we check the bill, it is the same as what was showed on the menu. Either theyupdated the menu, or the stuff we ordered didn?t change price. We sat at the sushi bar, and had a great time watching all thechiefs making sushi. Will definitely come back. Read more

Took my boyfriend here to try sushi for the first time. The waitress was no help with the overwhelming menu. She didn?t really... check on us and was extremely shy. The food was great and there were other waiters there who seemed to have excellent customerservice. Read more

We got a reservation for my birthday, and got sat at the hibachi grill. This was fine, though it made it a little awkward to... talk to each other. Overall, their food and drinks were great as well as our chef! My rolls were delicious and the chicken friedrice was garlic-y, which I enjoyed. The only issue we had was our waitress (older Asian woman with glasses). She was verydismissive and did not check on us at all. We had to keep getting her attention. Our drinks came AFTER our food due to therebeing no bartender. I'm not sure who was making the drinks then. When we asked to split my tab amongst my friends, she was verycurt and rude. We had reservations at Osaka to celebrate a birthday. We were so disappointed. The service was HORRIBLE. We were seated at... our table 25 minutes before we were approached to order drinks. Then we ordered our meal at the time our drinks were served. Weordered an appetizer and the 3 course entree. They waitress brought out our salad/ soup and appetizer 20 minutes later,plopped them all down on the table and had us pass them out individually. THEN, we waited another full hour for our chef. Weasked to speak to the manager but apparently, there was NOT a manager onsite. The food was average and they had raised theprices "a few dollars" but no where was it posted what the rate increase would be. The chef himself was nice and entertainingbut clearly over worked. There?s a sign in the door that they increased their prices. We went last night it was 10 min before a server ever approached... us. Then I had dirty wrapped silverware. Twice. Then once our order was taken we waited and waited for our drinks and decided toleave. As we left & cancelled the order our server was pouring wine for a while other table. Never even got a drink. We where seated as soon as we arrived. We were a party of 2. There were 3 separate groups of customers for a total 7 of us at... the hibachi grill. Food service was normal to quick and the food was decent. The chef did not interact with anybody seated atthe grill. When we received our check the already added a 18% tip. I was not going to tip 18% because the chef didn?t interactwith us. When I asked about why they automatically add the tip the manager got an attitude. A tip is earned not guaranteed! Inormally leave a 20% tip when the service is good. The service I received was no where worth 18%. No where does it state thatthey automatically add the tip to all customers. It will be the last time that I go to Osaka. Also they have increased theirprices with out change the menu. There is a note on the door about the increase but 5 of us of the 7 missed it. The food at Osaka was alright, just nothing to write home about. The chicken karaage was probably the best of the items we... tried. The tornado roll sounded interesting but was a bit of a let down. All in all, it was on ok experience but I don?t seemyself going back. Read more
