The place has character, the staff is excellent and the food is fresh and awesome. This is my new favorite BBQ joint. The Friday... catfish is hot and fresh, the BBQ is really yummy. If the was a 6 star rating, Red Barn BBQ would get it. I have lived inColleyville for seven years, can't believe I have left all that great food on the table. Read more

To start, I dig the pig out front. Sets the tone on such a positive vibe, that should be enough on its own but..... The brisket... is perfect. Not dry or overcooked. Doesn't need sauce but the sauce adds to the taste. Jalapeno Cheese sausage was a perfectblend of a little spice, but not enough to hurt, and natural flavor. The green beans were terrific. The coleslaw wasfantastic. Definitely making another stop when I return to the area. Read more

This is a small restaurant, open since 2005. I grabbed a quick lunch of a brisket sandwich, no sides and water. The bill was a... little over $7 bucks so a pretty good deal for barbecue these days. The sandwich bun was buttered and toasted and came with the?sweet? sauce. I loved the chopped brisket on the sandwich. Lots of times when you get a chopped brisket sandwich it is halfchopped up fat, but this was full of meat with a nice char on. I really liked the flavor. The serving line was empty just afternoon on a Wednesday, which surprised me. There were three other sets of people at tables when I sat down, so not full. Theservice was quick and friendly. The only downside to Red Barn is the self described rustic feel (from website). The floor had apronounced hump in it and the flooring was chipped and tattered. It was clean and the food was good and it IS a barbecue jointso it didn?t bother me. I can see how some folks might be put off by it. If you look around back you can see cut up logs to goin the pit, so it is authentic and that?s good for me. Also during the February 2021 freeze and power outage I got served somefree beans from Red Barn at the Colleyville library info center while all the news deprived refugees huddled around a working TVfor news on the end of the blackout. So they do their part to serve the community. Meat prices have sky rocketed lately, buttheir prices remain reasonable and the food is good, so I won?t ding them for the rustic charm. I will come back. It?s open 11-8Monday through Friday. Recommended. Read more

Pretty decent BBQ! First time visit and good selection of various smoked fowl, beef, pork and side dishes. Tasty! If you're... like me and like a brewsky with dinner, you're out of luck here, BUT, you are allowed to bring your own drinks in! ???????? Enjoyed, and will go back. Read more

I finally gave this place a try after driving by it dozens of times, but unfortunately, it will be the only time giving it a... try. When the sides are the best part of the meal, it's not a great BBQ joint. The sausage was good, but the brisket and pulledpork were completely bland. You shouldn't need to cover the meat in BBQ sauce to make it taste good. There are plenty of othernearby BBQ restaurants where this isn't the case. Read more
