Being from out of town, I had never heard of this amazing little gem of a place! Our friend only said three words that made us... interested, ICE CREAM and TRAIN! When we walked in and saw the excellent menu!The food was great, but their hand made MEGAShakes were to die for! Sugar and Carb Overload! But it was well worth it! The atmosphere of this restaurant sets itself apart from many other places - it's such a pleasant change of place. The dining... areas were clean and tidy, and the servers were diligent and friendly. The food itself was yummy as well. I got the brisketsandwich with a side of mac and cheese - both were delicious. Of course we had to try the infamous milkshakes as well - we gotone that was caramel theme, and it was just enough to share between two people. I would come here again! Read more
We made a reservation for a party here for my daughter?s 3rd birthday party, and let me tell you, WE HAD A BLAST!!! Michelle... took care of us and had food and drinks on the table in no time, I definitely recommend the Pullman sandwich it?s absolutelydelicious! But I?m convinced Michelle is Superwoman. She was fast, so friendly, and made the experience run smoothly. The GMCassie came over to see how everything was going and made sure we were having the best time possible and she was so sweet andjust absolutely lovely. Oh my goodness this place is incredible. My daughter lives downtown Chattanooga and while we were visiting her she asked us if... we would like to try it. After we were seated, a train came through blowing its whistle as the restaurant is next to a RRcrossing. The food was delicious. My wife and I split the Jailhouse Rock Roast Beef and our daughter had the Conductor. Then we3 split a Cheek to Cheek Chocolate Cheesecake milkshake. 5/5 stars for taste, quality, and experience but only 4/5 stars only because the price for milkshakes is hefty ???? Definitely... worth the experience at least once! The price does deter me from wanting to go back, or for sure waiting a while to return. Themilkshakes were handmade and you can see them being made through the glass. The staff was very friendly and informative. Thetrain does come through so that can scare the babies but it's still cool nonetheless. Would be perfect for a little date ortaking out of town visitors to show off. Read more
This shining star has been open a little over a year and is still lighting up the area...great reason to visit Ooltewah. Filled... up on the food and did not have room for dessert so will have to make a special trip just to have a milkshake...staff said itwould be worth it. The soups are homemade and delicious, the potato salad featured a really tasty vegan mayonnaise and thesandwiches are big enough for two meals...the train motif is evident through out as well as the actual trains still rumbling by.Visit at night when it is really full so you can experience the lit up rooftop outdoor eating area. Make sure to make a reservation. The parking lot is small, but there are additional options about 50 yards down the road. It... was very clean, service was friendly and very informative/patient as we made up our minds with all the shake options. They areup front with you that the shakes take a while and come near the end of the meal. The sandwiches were very tasty, but the soupand temp of the sandwiches were a little on the cooler side. Such a cool place. It's definitely worth stopping by at. The prices run around the $10 range for adults and a little lower for... kids I think, but the food is worth the money. Also, the atmosphere is so cool. It definitely seems to be a place for a goodmeal out with friends. If you're a history buff, you'll also want to come here just for the awesome pictures of local historyhere! They also have a true banana split that was delicious! Read more
