Birthday treat for the wife brought daughter and son in law. First and foremost the service was five star. Our waiter Dave and... his support staff were excellent. Tried three appetizers flat bread, meatballs, calamari. Two out of three were great. Calamariwas disappointing. Entrees were the perfect size and served piping hot. Drinks and desserts were top notch. Prices extremelyreasonable. This place is a redo for sure. Read more

Paolo’s Italian Kitchen in College Station was just what I was looking for when it comes to Italian food. I ordered the Salmon... Piccata and loved it. Paolo’s was busy that night so I called and got reservations before. We ordered the steak and arugulaflatbread as the appetizer and the truffles for dessert. Strange look to the restaurant, like it was maybe once connected to theHilton but aside from the look, the food was good! Read more

In town for a work conference so decided to try it out based on the good reviews. The decor was odd. Very dark inside with... hardly any decor. Tables had nothing but a black tablecloth on them. It took a bit for us to be greeted by a waiter. I orderedChicken Alfredo and asked if they could add some broccoli. I assumed there would be an extra charge and I was fine with that. The serving size was rather small for the price. The waiter asked if we wanted cheese on our meal and proceeded to hold it up sohigh over our plates that he not only provided our meals with cheese, but the table as well. Our table looked like the kidstable by the time he was done. I then noticed my meal didn't even have chicken. The waiter takes my plate, brings it back andhere we go again with another cheese fiasco to the new plate! ???? The Alfredo sauce was like soup. No thickness or consistencyto it at all. Each bite splashed new drops to my black shirt and by the time I was done, I myself looked like one of the kidsat the kids table! ???? We get the check and....$6 for a side of broccoli!! I went and addressed it with the girl at the front. Her response, "well the price is in the menu"....I go sit down, our waiter comes to the table and I address with him. Hisresponse.."well the price is in the menu". Then he sends the manager over...his response..."well the price is in the menu". Goodlord! Obviously they have received this compliant before because everybody went on auto pilot as if they were reading from ascript! My apologies for not verifying the price of a side of broccoli before ordering but my goodness, I along with 90% ofmost people wouldn't guess it would be the cost of a small appetizer!...??????? I was staying in town for work so I found this place next to my hotel. I haven’t had a wonderful meal like this in years-... usually somethings amiss when I eat out, but not this time. The entree, Pinot, soup, music (Sinatra), lighting…it was all tomy liking. The space was simple, open but clean. Mikey, my server, provided the right amount of attention and was lightheartedenough to make my evening better. The tomato basil soup was so rich and creamy that my taste buds couldn’t believe what I wasconsuming. I can’t wait to come back. Read more

It was a wonderful time for myself, my girlfriend, and our friend. The food was phenomenal. The only issue I had was, portion... size. The chicken parmesan had a nice amount of chicken, but lacked a bit on the spaghetti. I would definitely go again though Read more

Food is good. Atmosphere not so much. For the price I'd prefer to spend my money elsewhere. We went here to celebrate my... daughter getting her license after hearing many great things. We got really dressed up and to say we were disappointed is anunderstatement. The building needs a refresh for sure. As soon as we walked in the smell of mildew hit us and we immediatelyknew we made a mistake. Our service seemed to be on the level I'd expect from a regular casual restaurant. Our table wasextremely wobbly and when I went to fix it, there was already a napkin under there which to me means they knew this table wasdefective but chose to leave it, while I was investigating the napkin the very helpful bus boy came over and proceeded to placeanother napkin under the leg, again confirming that they know the table is no good. I had my expensive cocktail spill everywherebecause of the table. These issues among a few others really made us scratch our heads as to why so many people rave about thisestablishment. My suggestion is to go for some ok decent food but don't expect much as far as an experience. Maybe they werejust having an off night but that was our experience. Read more

Very let down. After looking at the reviews, I decided this is where my wife and I would have dinner for our fifth anniversary.... The server we had was great. The sweet tea was the best I've had in a while, and the drinks from the bar were really good.Ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. And that's the end of the compliments. Calamari was a bit rubbery, the ceaser saladwas watery and even had a complete romaine root end. The salmon picatta dish my wife had was slightly undercooked, noodlesovercooked, the entire dish tasted of the char on the salmon, and came with a red sauce that did not taste or resemble a lemoncream sauce. The side of risotto was so overcooked that it could almost pass as mashed potatoes. My chicken marsala did not havewhat you would expect in marsala. No cream in the sauce. It basically tasted like a very sweet marinara, was a very thin sauce, and had a border of oil. We were very excited to go, and now feel as if olive garden would have been a better choice. Wassurprised a manager didn't come over after I voiced my displeasure with the server. Now we may go back for drinks, but notlikely for food. Read more
