HUGE portions with the fries, ribs & sliced bread. Not sure why they gave us a whole loaf of bread. Ribs & chicken were tender,... but could have used some seasonings. Personally for taste, I think it's overrated. The fries were great! Read more
NOPE!!!! Not worth the time or effort to seek this place out. The quality and quantity of food was a joke for the price we paid... for take out. 2 adult meals over $60 - yeah not for these small portions with a Meh taste at best. As a native Texan, this mealwas far from ?Texas style or Texas taste? Hattie Marie?s should pick different state for their advertisement. I highlyrecommend you go anywhere else? I?m sure it will be a better choice. If you choose this place, I?d recommend you sit in so youcan return it to the kitchen when you?re dissatisfied. Good luck to you! Hattie Marie?s Texas BBQ is definitely something you have to try! Trust me, if you see this place on social media the hype is... real! The food is very fresh and will have you satisfied all the way to the end. Dining in was nice. The ambiance is cool withthe smell of BBQ always floating in the air. This is a **CASH ONLY** business. Don?t be alarm its a ATM inside the restaurant. Igive Hattie Marie?s Texas BBQ a solid 8.5 out of 10 the place is clean despite a few flies flying around. My stars are purely for the food. It?s great. Every time I go it?s the same and it probably some of the best barbecue I?ve had... in Atlanta. But trying to get it?!?! Smh it?s like no one wants to work there. I mostly order pick up online and they make youshow ID which I?m fine with, but to make me wait over 30min in line with everyone who?s waiting to place their order while I?mwatching 6 people behind the counter laugh and be on their phone is not what I?m okay with. Mind you they send a verificationtext to let you know when your order is ready so you don?t come early due to lack of standing space; so I have to wait another15-30 minutes waiting for people to order so someone can walk to the side and grab my order off the bookshelf. It is like thisvery often when I come and it?s even worse when it?s busy. Another thing, they often run or don?t have food in stock an hour orso after opening and as a culinary graduate it just bothers me a different way. Food is great. Service sucks and everyone alwaysgot an attitude. The BBQ here is legit!! There aren?t many places around the city that has fall-off-the-bone BBQ and bomb macaroni and cheese,... but THEY DO!! Service was friendly and there was definitely a vibe in this ?order and sit? establishment. I had the brisketsandwich, which was perfectly smoked, tender, and juicy. I had it with a side of baked beans that I wasn?t crazy about, but Itried my husband?s macaroni and cheese and WISHED I had gone for it. OMG! The macaroni is so amazing. He also had a half rack ofribs and refused to share (I?ll take that up with him later), but incredible is an understatement. The sauce is sweet andsmacking! Good food and great friendly service. The portions are on the money especially the ribs. The Mac and cheese was top notch but... the standout performer is the Sweet tea. That stuff is addictive and once they sell out there is no more being bad. The buttersauce for the fried lobster tail is hands down the greatest and I recommend putting it on everything you can. It can get crowdedbut the line moves along and be warned fried lobster takes forever so call it in as someone has to wait almost 25 minutes forthe sole item. Read more
I will definitely return soon! We were seated fast, our food was fresh and good. I enjoyed the Catfish & Beef rib. I had a chance to visit this amazing place the other day. I'll start out with a disclaimer, I gave them three stars for a... specific reason but I would encourage everybody to go because I would go again. The staff was very friendly and inviting. Theygreeted me from the beginning and followed up with me throughout my meal. I went early in the day so unfortunately the briskettaste like it was from the day before so it wasn't very moist.
