Reviews for Colebrook Store in Colebrook, CT
The pies make this a non missable place! Extraordinary!!
We went in to get a coffee which was good. We saw the eclairs so we decided to get some. They were soooo slow and all we got was... two eclairs. We got a vanilla and chocolate but they gave us two chocolate! The dough was too thick and dry but the pudding wasgood though. $8 for an eclair is just ridiculous. The girl who took our order though was very sweet. Read more
Absolutely delicious food! The hot roast beef grinder with caramelized onions was tender and super tasty! We picked up a... homemade blueberry peach pie for a picnic. One of the best pies ever the flavor and crust was delicious. We are looking forwardto going back to try a pizza and an eclair ???? Read more
A very unique shop with old fashioned service and good food. Located in a very picturesque part of Connecticut. I love the store... and I love the area. Read more
A deli with all the good parts. Maybe you can?t get Fritos or a hundred flavors of Coke but the veggies-only sandwich is better... than most other places and they have good root beer. Not necessarily nostalgic but just what I remember good delis havinggrowing up. I heard the Friday night pizzas are excellent. A great place to meet for lunch. Read more

Great freshly baked cinnamon bun Sunday. # The post Thanksgiving weekly Friday special shrimp scampi pizza was a nice twist on... toppings ($21.95) and the sausage with green peppers had good flavor($15.45). Since ours were take-out we reheated both in a 250degree oven which added a crispy brown bottom to the dough. Check weekly pizza on Facebook. # Our meal here latter fall includedthe outdoor sandwich sign breakfast, egg, sausage and cheese on a roll plus a small coffee, a bagel with cream cheese and baconspecial, six wings for $7.98 - we chose buffalo - and a half of a boulvain puff pastry with a cream cheese center and local farmblueberry compote freshly made by the chef/owner. He kindly gave this to us on the house. As with the roast beef sandwich Ireviewed previously, this confection today showed this rural eatery can go gourmet and show culinary skills beyond deli fare, and their buffalo chicken still can use improvement. The wings were cool in temperature, dry and had little flavor. Perhaps thisis not their forte, unlike their house pizzas which are a huge success sold on Fridays. # Two more fine sandwiches from theColebrook Store this last Sunday. Specials of the day board: Crispy chicken with bacon, shredded lettuce and tomato on a hardroll with choice of ranch or honey mustard, and Roast Beef with goat cheese, homemade fig jam and arugula on a hard roll withspicy mustard. The chicken sandwich was popular as we heard many people ordering it. My partner gobbled it down and loved it.The roast beef sandwich had a couple of interesting components that made a palate think while eating, but worked welloverall. Only odd entry here, is it took almost a half hour to get a cup of coffee, as the medium brew carafe was empty, andthe dark brew had only half a small cup left. Mixed with decaf, still available, my partner was able to get one cup. The galwaiting on us, and everyone as customers kept coming through the door, was really busy as cashier, order Read more
