We had an excellent dinner - the fried chicken, pork tenderloin and Parmesan halibut - delicious! The Caesar salad and fries... were great too. Portions are generous! I don?t think I can share enough love for this place. Taylor the chef is amazing! He even came to our table and thanked us for... coming in. I ordered 3 orders of oysters because they were SO GOOD!! Sorry the kitchen had to keep shucking them for me. We alsohad the octopus against my husbands choice but he loved it too! Drinks were great, atmosphere is great, staff was wonderful. I had high expectations for this spot after several people?s praises; unfortunately, it did not quite live up to the hype. The... Korean bibimbap bowl tasted like when you burn something in a cast iron pan and then scrape the food from the bottom. My friendstated their burger left much to be desired as well. Also, service was incredibly slow even when the restaurant wasn?t verybusy. We had to eat in 5 minutes so we wouldn?t be late for work. Read more
Love to keep it local. Nice front sidewalk for eating outside. Unfortunately the chicken sandwich I had was nothing to talk... about. It was dry and not flavorful. No elevated touch. We went there and come back because first experience was great! Their poutine is the best! Must try!!! I've try few different... poutine from Quebec and other places, their's is totally different, it's not original but so yummy. Their chicken hot wing alsogood. I like the Jalapeños sauce but the chicken too dry. Oyster is good and fresh. Burger is good. Halibut is okay. Theirfrench fries is too small. First time we came the service was good but not the second time. A littile bit disappointed with thesecond visit but we will still come back for their poutine and their hot wings! This place is just up the road from Lake Coeur d'Alene which makes it a convenient restaurant for those looking for a quiet spot... away from the lake front. Parking in the area is convenient as all parking lots on the street and in certain businesses parkinglots are free. Decent list of local beers as well as local wines (I didn't try the wine). The menu was quite simple andstraightforward. I ordered the charred octopus and duck. The charred octopus was amazing, not too chewy, but also not toosoft. The combination of the octopus, arugula, and balsamic dressing created an amazing trinity of flavors. The duck breastwas well cooked, albeit a bit under-seasoned. The lentils were similarly well cooked, but under-seasoned. This doesn't meanthat I didn't enjoy the meal, the lack of seasoning meant that the quality of meat and lentils was not overpowered by seasoning. The pumpkin donuts were alright, I'd probably get something else next time. This was an amazing restaurant that required verylittle preparation on my part. As a single diner it was easy for me to walk in and sit at the bar, however if you plan oncoming with a group I would recommend a reservation beforehand as the small venue can get full fairly quick.
