Bakery by the Lake carries our favorite coffee and it was time to stock up. While there, we enjoyed their delicious pumpkin... spice cookies! Read more
Let me start off by saying we had two good turkey panini sandwiches... Buuutttt we also ordered a grilled cheese on white bread... which I thought would taste great because their other sandwiches are good...this sandwich was for my daughter who is 13 yearsold... I hopefully included the pictures I took of it to show how it came. I didn't pay attention to the price but I'm sure itwas more than a couple dollars. That is why I feel it's important to show this review... So people know what they are getting...Let me just say I was shocked at the low quality of the sandwich. It is paper thin and hard as a rock... My daughter took onebite and had to tear at it just to get that bite off the sandwich! Let me just say now that this was our lunch and a to go orderso we we not in a position to go back to deal with this issue. But my daughter ended up with no lunch and that really ticked meoff. I'll stop here as I feel the pictures speak a thousand words. Oh and the paper was stuck to the sandwich so that is gross!I also included pictures of the sandwich compared to my little vape just to show how thin this sandwich really is. Read more
Love this place! They have some "wheat free" pastries and cookies (can't claim strictly GF , but it works for me), and the stuff... is actually pretty darn good! Plus they serve Cafe Umbria and thus with a good barista the coffee is amazing! Love that it's bythe park and the atmosphere is lovely inside and out on the patio. Also my sister was a huge fan of the peach tea and thought itcool that they give you one free refill. Read more
The caprese grilled sandwich was spectacular. I'd never had such a sandwich and it awesome
Pastries are extremely meh, about on par with gas stations or stuff from Safeway. Most of the coffee shops have the same bland... stuff, feels like the stuff I throw together at home is better. I really miss nicely baked scones and pastries from when I livedin bigger cities. I've gone here because it's the least worst option within walking distance (I can't stand InstagramEvangelical or Tech Bros decorations of the other nearby shops), but I'm never really happy about going here. I'll probably stopvisiting, I'll just get snacks at the gas station nearby. Read more
Quick service, solid staff, pastries were just okay. The cannoli was 2 out of 5 based on the grainy texture of the filling,... Coconut cupcake was better 3 out of 5- the cake was dry and a touch dense but the frosting was great. Onion bagel was also a 3out of 5, not chewy enough and maybe a touch dry. The coconut macaroon was the star of the show coming in at a respectable 4 outof 5, excellent texture along with chocolate covering ratio. All things considered I?d drop back by if in the neighborhood. Ialso enjoyed the seating area, enjoyable atmosphere Read more
