Johnny Pies is the only pizzeria in South Florida that i?ve had that is as good as an authentic NYC pizzeria. The pizza display... is laid out exactly like a nyc pizzeria with different specialty pies that you can order by the slice. Everything looks freshand delicious. My litmus test of a good pizzeria is the taste of their regular slice. If their regular slice is good, then itsvery likely that everything else is good too; so I ordered their $7.50 lunch special which covers 2 regular slices and a drink,which is very reasonable in this day and age, and for the quality. Their regular slice is absolutely amazing as the crust islight and a little crisp, the cheese is high quality and has the classic NYC taste, and the tomato sauce is perfect- not toosweet or savory; its just right and complements the cheese and crust well. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. In just ashort conversation one can see that he takes pride in the quality of his pizza. Do yourselves a favor and come check out thisamazing pizzeria. Its like being in New York, down to the pictures on the walls and oregano, red pepper flakes, garlic powder oneach table. I?ll definitely be back for more. I just left this place about 30 min ago, my first visit. I'm so impressed! The young lady at the register was very pleasant and... a joy to deal with. The way the employees spoke to each other was refreshing, like they truly care for each other and what theyare doing. A nice young man helped walk my large order to my car AND I heard him offer a homeless gentleman done pizza on hisway back in. Oh, the food :) Food is great! Everyone is still enjoying. I?m a New Yorker who?s lived in this area for 10 years. Not once have I found NY pizza, or anything close to it. Finally..NY... pizza! The cheese is perfect, the crust is chewy and just thick enough to hold the fold, and the garlic knots are the realdeal. Toppings are real, not canned mushrooms like I?ve had at other places. We?ve been craving vodka slice pizza and we ordered from this restaurant. Vodka slize pizza is 7/10 ???? that?s good florida... pizza. Need a lil bit of work for it to be 10/10. Desserts is really good too. Portion is great. The only thing I didn?t like istheir website prices are not updated, we were charged more than the price on website?s menu. I?ll go dine in next time, pizzais better when you don?t close it in box. So maybe it?ll be more fresh when we dine in! Read more

Update, 6.30.2022, it's been a while since we've been here and I Hate to do this because they were so good previously, but the... small vodka pizza with prosciutto I got tonight was just not good. There was hardly any sauce on it. The slice shown in thepicture was 1 of the 2 or 3 slices that had the most sauce. The rest had barely any. And, it was supposed to be a vodkasauce, but sure tasted like plain tomato sauce. Even my husband agreed when i had him taste it. If I was served a pasta dishwith that supposed vodka sauce back it would go! The prosciutto was awful, sliced extremely thick and way overcooked. It waspretty much inedible unless you wanted to chew and chew and chew. Silly me, since it was prosciutto, I expected thinslices/pieces placed on the pizza AFTER it came out of the oven, the way it's been served on pizzas at every other place I'vehad it on pizza. On the upside, my husband did like his Stromboli. Update, got a couple of pies to go about a week and a halfafter our first visit. They were as good as the by the slice pies looked that were on display at our first visit. Keep up thegood work guys! First visit review - Very good Drunken Johnny and meatball parm sandwiches. Place is clean both up front andthe large portion of the kitchen you can see. People running the place are friendly and personable. We didn't have any thistime, but the pizzas looked great. We ordered from Johnny's to try a different pizza place in the area. We used the Slice app to order a 20" cheese pizza and 6... garlic knots. We were quoted 35-50 minutes for our delivery to arrive. The order arrived within the quoted time! Score! Thedelivery guy was friendly, personable, and handled the food with care. The pizza was very good! It was piping hot, and had theright amount of sauce and cheese. The garlic rolls were good and flavorful, but could have used more oil, as they were a bit onthe dry side. Overall, this is a good pizza shop! The prices are fair, it's easy to order online, the delivery guy was nice,and the food was good. I'll definitely order from this place again! Read more
