Luna at Kahuna is an incredible dining experience. The wine list is well procured! The shaken espresso martini is on point... ! To start you must order the crab tacos ? it?s a delicious burst of flavor, followed by the candied peach salad! For dinnerdon?t bother sharing a dish? get your own! I had the lamb and it was perfectly cooked with the most delicious mashed potatoes!My guest had the grouper which was on special . It had a perfect crisp on the outside with so many layers of flavor to eachbite! For dessert we had a flavorful layered mud pie & an after dinner CHOCOLATE MARTINI with cookie crumbles. DELICIOUS! Theservice was wonderful! The servers are professional, hard working, and you can tell they enjoy serving chef Lucas food! I lovedall of their personalities & they made our dining experience fun. Kate was delightful, knowledgeable, friendly, and on point,while Luca, the Chef was so kind and humble for the off the charts food he prepares for you! Food just sounds so mundane for thewonderful creations he puts in front of you! I went with a couple friends from out of town and EVERYTHING, from the drinks, toappetizers to dinner and finishing off with dessert, was pure perfection and melt in your mouth spectacular! Totally worth the expense! The white sangria was just alright, so do yourself a favor and order the red or get a beer. The wagyu... beef (perfectly seasoned) and kona crusted salmon were top notch. The scallops were tender and buttery, they didn't even need asauce! They did need some salt though, as did the truffle fries and veggies. That could just be personal taste though. Themacadamia crusted Mahi looked super delicious, although we didn't order it. Definitely recommend for a special treat! Read more
Good food, not great service. I got the free range chicken with garlic tots. The chicken has a great blacked crust with a very... strong rosemary flavor. I thought it was fantastic. The chicken was very jucy and tender. It came with a great dipping sauce.The tots had a wonderful garlic drizzle over them but need salt. While the food was great the service was sub par. The food tookquite a while to get out to us. Long enough they offered to bring more chips and hummus as we wait. The lamb was not cooked welldone even when asked to have it that way. Once we got our checks we waited for quite a while then had to take our checks to thecounter inside to get them to ring us up. Read more
We landed in Orlando due to plane issues and had to drive to the Keys. Small detour to cocoa beach to find some food and landed... on this amazing little place. Inside is reservations which are booked and as we we?re last minute unplanned we sat outside whichthe weather was perfect. The food. Absolutely AMAZING !!! I had the mahi mahi and he tried the steak with shark substitute dueto out of the lobster. We are from the Midwest so always cautious about ordering steak on the coast. Cory said it was on of thebest he?s ever had and for him living off of it that?s hard to beat ! The mahi just fell apart and the seasoning wasperfect. Not to mention our server (Jon) I think. It?s been three weeks since we were there so I?m hoping wr got it correct.He?s originally a midwesterner too. Great guy and you can tell loves what he does or really good at selling it! Utterly amazed at the quality of our food! Was skeptical walking in as the place was very small, but sooo pleasantly surprised.... The Diver scallops were the best scallops I?ve ever had ?.
