New Murdock's is wonderful; can't wait to return and try more things on the menu! So far I've tried multiple kinds of Mac and... cheese, the pork nachos, and the smoked brisket wrap! All delightful, well made and presented beautifully! The new decor andevents fit the building and the menu well, all around is a pleasant experience down in the village! Thanks y'all! Read more
Had a GREAT meal at Murdock?s in Cocoa Village yesterday. They have a super menu. The food was delicious and very affordable. ... Our waitress provided excellent service. I ordered a terrific grilled cheese sandwich with avocado, bacon, caramelized onions, goat cheese and raspberry jam. Husband ordered a brisket waffle sandwich with plenty of root beer glazed brisket, caramelizedonions and cheese. The brisket was melt in your mouth and the steak fries were delicious. Just a gem of a place. Amazing, creative food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Worth going out of the way for.
My friend and I went here about 2 weeks ago. The menu looked great. And then we decided to order. At first we were going to... order an appetizer of Fried Green tomatoes. And then we were told that they were out. Which was really upsetting because I lovefried green tomatoes. Decided not to get another appetizer because nothing seemed as appealing as that. Then proceeded to tryand order a grilled cheese that they have several of on their menu. And then they told us they do not have that to either. Optedto get other options. Then we decided to go back last night because the food was not bad but we really wanted to try what we hadmissed out on. When we sat down we asked the hostess if they had fried green tomatoes tonight. She said yes. So we ordered twococktails. However when the waitress came by again they were out of the fried green tomatoes. And also we could not ordergrilled cheese. At that point I didn't even want to be there anymore. It's really upsetting to go to a place several times andthem not have anything that you want to order which is listed on their menu. Very disappointing experiences. Definitely notgoing back Read more
Came in for Father's Day dinner. Meals were a little slow to come out but was quite tasty. I had the chicken and waffles and the... only disappointment was the side of nacho chips. Also, no ketchup came out for my wife's fries with her sandwich. Cool vibe, love the brass band decor and all the staff was very friendly. The place just opened so I hope with a little tweaking they willget everything right. Read more
I was not impressed with the new restaurant. Inside seating was extremely uncomfortable, the food was less than expected. ... Ordered wings, they were sub par, little sauce on the wings, more like a drizzle. Nachos we Ordered were ok, not great. They put SO much corn on the nachos that it over powered everything else, very unbalanced ingredients that left us thinkingmeh. Staff seemed great and friendly, very welcoming for sure. Last but not least was the placement of the paper towelholder in the men's restroom. It was placed so high that 1. You could not find it. 2. Once found hard to reach. My 11 yrold son couldn't reach it. I know they only opened up 11 days ago, so we wish them the best. Hopefully they can fine tunesome things and make it a amazing. Read more
????Familiar Food Favorites with a Unique Twist???? The toughest part of eating at Murdock's is choosing what to order. I'm at... the point of creating a spin-the-wheel-of-choice with the menu, so that it can pick for me. My party had a hard time deciding, ultimately selecting a variety of options--and agreeing that everything tasted excellent. We opened with the giant, Germanpretzel appetizer with beer-cheese and spicy mustard dipping sauces. The pretzel arrived coated in crystals of salt--bready andflakey on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside. Both dipping sauces provided nuance that paired well with thesaltiness--and the mustard wasn't too spicy, just warm on the tongue. My grilled cheese "The Goat" is among the best gourmetgrilled cheeses I've ever savored. Two generous triangles of brie bread loaded with thick wedges of bacon, glazed onions, creamycheese, and--surprisingly--raspberry jam... Everything meshed together like a delicious all-in-one breakfast. The jam provided atart kick that paired excellently with the juicy bacon and zesty onions. Of course, I had to round everything off with the PB&JBread Pudding dessert, which arrived in a generous slab large enough to share with three people. Soft, supple, and not too rich,it's topped with ribbons of PB&J alongside half-melted chocolate chips. De-li-cious! I'll definitely be returning to Murdock'sfor another round of unique menu offerings. Bring a friend for an especially good experience--and take time to soak in thedecorum. There are a lot of fun designs and architectural elements to observe while waiting on your order. Read more
