Reviews for Coburg Crossing Cafe in Coburg, OR
This Restaurant used to be a Truck Stop with a different name years & years ago. I used to bring my kiddos here when they were... quite little, because I could feed them a TON of food for next to nothing. We came SO often, that the Waitresses knew my kids byname! I even remember bringing them here for Thanksgiving! My kids are in their 30's & 40's now & although the place is waydifferent in looks & name, that cozy, warm feeling is not. The huge portions for an inexpensive price hasn't changed. Thequality of the food is still spot on too! My Son & his Wife & myself were all thrilled to come here & left 100% satisfied witheverything! Our server was a gem & even though my Son couldn't remember coming here as a wee one, he said he could tell that itwas a fond memory for me. Our Omelette, Pancake, Bacon, Biscuits & Gravy, Eggs & hashbrowns were beyond fresh & tasty. The store& gift shop are totally cool & have some very unique finds to buy. Coburg is only a hoot & a holler from our house, so thiscould be dangerous for our waistlines! *giggling* Seriously, a lot of folks prefer to go to the froo froo type restaurants inthe Eugene area, but they are 100% missing out on the hidden gem of fantasticness that is here! Great food! Great service! Love all the friendly staff.
Food: Chicken Tenders (for me to say they were bland...they were bland. I don't care for alot of seasoning... However, dipping... them in Honey Mustard...mmm mm good. My husband liked them in ranch. The dipped batter was wonderfully crunchy), French Fries(very good) My husband subbed the fries for chicken soup (he wasn't impressed) (.75 or .79 up charge) 2 Sweet Teas =$29.95 Thewaitress was nice, but she liked to visit with certain customers ..so you had to wait alot....My husband finally went to thecounter where the waitresses were visiting and asked for refills. We didn't order dessert.... I heard someone say that they hadnever seen it that busy...so maybe she wasn't used to it being busy. I would go back...just not when I needed to dine and dash.???? The food was absolutely delicious. It honestly reminded me of a home made meal. The ham and bean soup was very well seasoned and... the beans were all nice and tender. The salmon was cooked well and good portion. The corn bread was hearty and slightly sweet Iadded a little bit of pepper to taste. Will certainly eat here again if I?m ever through the area again Read more

This place is getting very popular! It has amazing outdoor seating for families and large groups, tucked away on a busy corner... in a spot that feels more spacious than it looks from the street. The food is really quite excellent. I had the vegan chickensandwich (an option always missing from the typical food cart experience for us vegetarians - it?s usually like? grilledvegetables). It was moist and crispy with a generous bun and an exquisitely flavored slaw. I also tried the buffalo carrots, which were plentiful and perfectly fried with a tangy, almost Indian flavored buffalo sauce. Then we had tots, which tastedhome-made. If they were from a freezer, you could not tell. They were subtly spiced with two amazing dipping sauces. The deepfried peach pie really stood out. It was like going to a carnival, but better. Everything was prepared very quickly, despitethere being two people doing everything and us being a larger group. This is a new favorite, and we will be back! Read more
