MASTERCHEF Rohan is truly a man of extraordinary Jamaican Cuisine talent! The Jamaican Patty House, hands-down is the best... family-owned & operated business in all of Cobourg, ON! I've happily tried almost EVERYTHING on their diversified menu, andeach and everytime, they have never failed to disappoint my family and I, as the food quality really continues to blossom, andelectrify my taste buds ever so often! It really & proudly reminds me, and is most definitely comparable to the Jerk Chickenand Rice that I've happily eaten everyday while on vacation in Saint-Ann, Jamaica! A real taste of Jamaica in small town Ontario. The jerk chicken was exquisite- moist and tender but packed a huge flavour punch.... The rice and peas were cooked perfectly - not dry or mushy. The beef patty was top notch and there is a unique selection ofCaribbean drinks. The owner Rohan is friendly and knows how to treat his customers. If you want some real Jamaican food with some amazing flavor this is the spot. Owner is super friendly and a great guy. I've... stopped at many spots for Jerk and he is the best I have found around (even Scarborough) the spice is always on point. Seen somepeople complain about being too spicy, it's JERK it's supposed to be spicy. Read more
I technically haven't visited the store - but whenever I go into town with my friends, the first person there buys some patties... for the late arrivers. I like them. Not too spicy, good flavour. Last time, it was 13 for $50. Read more
Such a wonderfully run family business! Service was unmatched by anywhere else in town! Amazing immersion into the incredible... world that is Caribbean cuisine. Excellent pricing and service for amazing food! We have been served by the whole family andhave excellent experiences with all of them! The food was good but way over the top on hot, hot, hot spicey. Also the price was kind of high for what I got. $17 for 2... chicken legs and a tiny bit if rice is steep. I would love to return, but I won't because the food was literally painful to eat.Tone down the hot spices and I might even pay the $17 for jerk chicken and a pop again. Service was both prompt and friendly. Ijust can't take the heat and I've had ghost peppers, twice, on purpose. I can make better tasting food at home for a betterprice. Read more
Believe the reviews. Perfect amount of spice on the Curry Goat and Jerk Pork, the spicy beef patty is great aswell. Service is... fast and friendly, and the selection of Caribbean drinks is impressive. Definitely a new local favourite. Read more
