Ask when ordering eggs or anything with cheese in it if they use processed cheese or shredded real cheese. I ordered the... Tennessee scramble. I knew from the menu it had cheese in it. I had it pictured different in my mind when reading the menu. When it was served to me the egg scramble had slices of processed cheese on top and throughout. I should have asked what kind ofcheese they used. That was my fault. Never expected what I was served! It wasn't the worst but it could have been better Read more

The best Ruben in Clinton! Old Town makes the corned beef for the Rubens fresh everyday. The bread is always soft and grilled to... perfection. Sorry, I had the sandwich half eaten before I remembered to take a picture ???? Read more

Finally went to Old Town after years of hearing about it and years of seeing the big northbound sign. After all the wait and... hype, I was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. They WERE wearing masks and distancing, at least as much asone could expect from a local establishment around lunch on Easter Sunday. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with scrambledeggs, hash browns, and rye toast. The steak itself was good, but the frying had that nice cripsness to it. Other places I've hadwill sometimes have a more mushy breading, so it was nice to know that when my knife had some crunch and resistance I was instore for something above average. Unfortunately, the hash browns weren't quite up to my own standard. Personally I'd prefer abit more browning and a more thorough cook, but that's just me. That's my own fault for not ordering accordingly. Mrs. had theVegetarian Skillet and absolutely loved it. Could not stop raving about how the variety of vegetables were protein loaded andhow the flavors all complimented each other. We will definitely be back to try some of the other takes on the varied menu. Read more

We were coming through town and actually turned around to go back to as the parking lot was fairly full of local plates, that's... usually a good sign. Next to the massive ADM plant, so working people food which is usually very good. Well based on ourexperience, if you're a regular, service is much better than for a stranger. We were seated and at 14 minutes as we were readyto leave our very good waitress arrived. The food was average fair and pretty good. I would, if ever back in the area maybegive it a second try.
