Today was our first time at Môtier and I can?t say enough good things about it. The bistro is romantic and charming, with... tables inside and out. The chocolate croissants have perfect lamination and are authentically French, as was the quiche, salad,onion soup, and ratatouille. Actually, it was the best ratatouille I?ve ever eaten. I escape and treat myself to Motier twice a week and pretend I am in France. The Illy coffee brings me right back to it, all the... pastries are delicious, the croissants crispy outside and soft inside and perfect to dip into my coffee. Everything I have eatenthere always meets my expectations. Yesterday I had a Croquet Madame for the first time, it was exquisite and the best I haveever had; the bread cooked a bit crispy outside with a buttery taste, melted delicious cheese inside with ham and at the rightcreamy consistency, to top it the egg perfectly soft, my first bite was truly heavenly, it melted in my mouth. Adorable little French cafe & cuisine. On a weekend morning, I was in the mood to have coffee and breakfast while reading a... book. There outdoor seating was perfect for it. One note is that the lunch/brunch menu doesn?t start until about midday. HoweverI killed time and enjoyed a butter croissant and coffee. I then had the croquet madam with the side salad. Everything was lovelyand yummy. The staff does a nice job and are very kind. They also made some great suggestions. My one nugget to why I didn?tgive it the fully 5 stars is because a big gust of wind cause their umbrella fall on me, bruising my arm. It happened so fastand was scary. Two other guests helped me but the staff were inside and unaware. The umbrella could have also seriously hurtsomeone or fallen on the nice car behind it. I did go inside and mentioned it to the staff and encouraged them to put somethingon the base to weigh it down to prevent from happening again. I really hope they did. Read more
