Reviews for Main Street Pub in Clifton, VA
Great food. Service was good bit a bit slow. If I could give a suggestion, I would fix the food exhaust system... we all came... out smelling like smoke and grease. Read more
I visited on a Saturday evening to get a quick last-Saturday-of-summer dinner to go with some ice cream from neighboring... Peterson?s. What a clever concept to turn an old filling station into a quaint pub in a quaint Northern Virginia town. Theneighborhood feel is apparent with the patrons and the staff, and the staff exude a friendly vibe and seem to enjoy working witheach other and customers. I predictably received the same kind of service with the relatively short meal I had: Mac dog withoutcheese sauce and tater tots followed by a burger with onions and mushrooms and sweet potato fries. Food arrived withinreasonable times, especially given the rather busy outdoor patio the staff were serving as well. The hot dog came with atoasted bun which was a much appreciated small detail unfortunately not all eateries get right. The cook on the hot dog tastedgreat and the accompanying chili went well. I found the chili a little sparse and tomatoey for my taste, but others have andwill enjoy this version as an accompaniment or a dish itself I am sure. The tater tots have a childhood association with me, soI really enjoy when I taste hot, crisp tots as these were. I requested a burger temperature of medium rare and got what I saw asclose to that temperature given the thickness of the patty. The freshness of the garnishes was welcome to cut the fattiness ofthe burger, especially the crisp pickle chips and tomato slices. As a very minor quibble, I would have liked the bun to betoasted as the hot dog bun was. The sweet potato fries were cooked about as well as could be. They arrived hot, not over friedor oily at all, and as crispy as anyone could get sweet potato fries to be. Thoroughly enjoyable from first fry to lastfry. The total bill came to just under $30 including a non-alcoholic drink and excluding tax and tip. I felt like I received asatisfying value for my stop, and I could return again to try other sandwiches and possibly a breakfast offering or two give Read more

Recently had breakfast here during that Bikes n' Breakfast meet this past Sunday. We arrived early and were immediately seated... upon opening. Had no idea what to expect. The service was great, even though they were flooded with patrons. The breakfastsandwich was exceptional, I appreciate the generous protein serving. Two sausage patties. Perfectly crisp tots. They had a fewdifferent hot square to choose from. Will absolutely return whenever I'm in the area to try more food, or have one of theirmimosas that sounded great, I don't drink when I ride. Well done to the crew here. Read more
Wow.., i was expecting cold sandwiches and chips, but it?s a full out restaurant! The fish and chips were hot, perfectly crispy... and delicious. Service was like the Wild West where the staff seemed to work together to help each other. It was nice to seethem support one another like that. Will i return? Probably, Clifton has turned into a mini escape for me even though there?s nobody of water ???? Read more
Great food in a no fuss atmosphere in charming historic Clifton. We may try Bingo night! They also have trivia nights.
Great sandwiches, in particular among my favorite was the breakfast taco! It's a very quaint little eatery inside what used to... be called Clifton General Store. Very popular with the locals for good reason! Read more
