Reviews for Ooka Sushi Hibachi Lounge in Clifton, NJ
We entered and immediately rushed to a seating place with a party of 5. We ordered everything and then brought another party of... 2 to our table without even asking us, this new party not even talking or engaging. Entertainment was great and it is the sameas all other ones. It is fun for everyone and enjoyed the most. Good in this place was good but mostly served very smallquantity of proteins (steak, chicken, shrimp, etc). Read more
This is a fun place for the family. Personally I think it?s overpriced for the food. If you?re going to spend $40. I?d rather... have exquisite flavor. All in all ok if you?re not a big foodie. Read more
Hibachi is one of my favorite style cuisines. This was the first time visiting Ooka, I am so glad I went. The food was... excellent. The cost is less expensive then, the franchised competitor. You get more for your money, noodles, fried rice comewith you meal opposed to noodles and rice sold as sides at the competition?s. Family friendly atmosphere and the chef?s are alot of fun. If you like Sake, gotta ask for the sake pour! I?ll be back! Read more

Food and entertainment was good. I must have gone during a heavy birthday and kids day overall because they had many birthday... celebrations that were blasted over their speakers (maybe turn down the volume for the other guest). The chef was veryinteractive with the guests as well. The only major critique I would add is that they have a propensity to rush the guests outvery quickly. Their expectations is to eat everything in real time as it's being served then immediately leave right after. Theywill hover over you and stop serving you entirely to push the agenda. Despite the concluding rushed part I would say it was arelatively enjoyable experience. Just turn down the speakers and don't rush the guests. Read more
First time sat on live table and got to say amazing experience. I guess worth the price. Chef was awesome cooked the food within... no time while interacting with customer. I tried lobster tail with shrimp cooked perfectly. Also, served with rice, noodles andveggies on side. I will definitely will visit this place again very soon. Read more
Revisited after several years (post pandemic) for a birthday dinner on a weeknight. At around 5:15, the restaurant was mostly... empty. We were seated promptly with another family. The restaurant was clean and the wait staff was friendly. The hibachi chefwas talented. We enjoyed the show. Our party ordered delicious off-menu cocktails. All of the food was delicious and exactlywhat we had hoped for. Business started to pick up around 6:45 and the service seemed overwhelmed. Our visit took a bit longerthan expected as it seemed very busy for a Tuesday evening. It was a pricy dinner, but entirely worth the expense for theexperience on a special occasion. Read more
