We shared the sampler plate, 2 kids meals, and ordered a wing appetizer. The waitress took our drink orders they were out of... milk. We ordered our food they were out of half the ingredients on the menu. I tried to be understanding since it was fairlylate in the evening, good BBQ takes time and they had just been through 2 storms. The food comes out and the appetizer was notwith it (or before it like normal). I asked about the wings, they had forgotten to cook them, the BBQ chicken was also missingoff the sampler plate. The food was mediocre at best, but my family reminded me that I wasn't in Texas so maybe I'm biased. Thebrisket had no flavor, the ribs were overcooked, the pork was good. We did enjoy the BBQ sauce that was the rest of the foodssaving grace. Perhaps it would have been better if we had been there earlier in the day. Read more
We have had wonderful experiences, mainly due to Regina's outstanding, caring service. She is knowledgeable, and charmingly... efficient. She makes you feel like you are dining at a dear friend's home. Good food. Good prices. Well worth our long ride toget to Sonny's. Read more
What a place! Love the pulled pork, the two styles of ribs, the beans! Corn bread! Everything was great! Went in on an off hour,... 2-2:30pm wasn't crowded seated an served right away! Great experience! We are going back even if we do have to drive to getthere. .its worth it!! Read more
My experience with Sonny over 2 years has had highs and lows. I was once served ribs that were raw twice. I was once served... godly ribs that I wish I could relive eating. It really depends on how busy it is and how late you order but I say they'repretty consistent and I've always walked away enjoying at least one thing I ordered. Give it a shot if you're in town. My husband and I stopped here on our way home across the state. When we came in I took our son to the restroom and when we came... out a solid 12 minutes later he was just being seated. We saw our waitress a total of like 4 times… maybe. The food wasclearly cooked a different day and reheated and the food we split was a lot of fat and little meat the only thing we reallycould eat was the Mac n cheese and the garlic bread. When it came time to pay we sat trying to get our waitress for about 20minutes before I had my husband take our son out to the car and stood for another 10 minutes waiting for someone to come to thecounter so we could pay our bill. They were super slammed when we stopped there. The hostess notice that no one took our drink order, so she went right over took... it and brought it back. We ordered the Family Feast and it was so delicious. Brisket, ribs, chicken, and pulled pork 3 sides and 4 sweet teas. So much... yummy food and leftovers. Our waitress was on top of her game!
