Had the poutine with a turkey bourbon gravy and cheese curds that was quite delicious and the pork chops with mashed potatoes... and a bourbon sauce was out of this world. Read more

Wow,, all I can say is the food is not good at all, I've had better food at a ballgame. My child got a 12" pizza,,, I was... thinking it would be a fresh hand tossed pie..nope,, it was most likely a frozen red baron pizza, no exaggeration.. it was a$20.00 pie I could of bought at a supermarket in the frozen food aisle for $5.00. I had the chicken parm, no taste chicken withsauce that was bland, (think sauce you get at a high school cafeteria). I should have known walking in the tables and chairslooked like they were purchased from a yard sale. Oh well,, I am scratching this one off the list...never again. Read more

We had the opportunity to try Sans Souci under it's new ownership and wow what an experience. We walked into the dining room... and were immediately struck by the minimal use of air conditioning. The hostess told us to seat ourselves. We waited severalminutes for menus. When we finally fought our way through the diner inspired menu, we placed our orders. While we waited wewere subjected to way too loud 1950''s music which impaired our ability to talk to each other while we perspired. When ourentrees arrived, the fiasco continued. I ordered the Lobster roll, which had come with about two tablespoons of finely choppedlobster in a roll who's size overwhelmed the tiny serving of lobster it contained. Next was a burger with swiss cheese thattasted like it was spiced with lighter fluid. Finally, we had a grilled chicken sandwich with sauteed onions. The sandwich wasdescribed to me as eating an unseasoned hockey puck. I watched as our guest made several attempts to deconstruct andreconstruct the sandwich. Eventually, she gave up and ate what she could of the bacon and mushrooms. We washed all of thisdown in our warm, ice-free sodas. The one shining star of the meal were the French fries, which arrived hot, salty anddelicious. They were the only satisfying part of the meal. I don't imagine that we will be returning to the Sans Souci. . Read more

I have lived in this community for about 8 years. During that time the Sans has had numerous chefs and several owners. It was a... local dive and the food was spotty at best. The new owners (who are a group of locals) have totally turned this place around forthe better. The new chef (from Lake Placid) knows how to cook and he's done a great job with the food and the menu. Had pulledpork sliders last night with rosemary french fries. It was off the charts in a good way. Not your typical pub food at all. Thebar now has 5 local beers on tap and a long list of micro brews in cans and bottles. My better half had the crab cakes whichalso were terrific. The bartender (Nick) pours a great and huge Manhattan. With covid on everyones mind, it felt safe inside. They have taken most of the bar chairs out and the tables are spread out. The staff are all masked up and customers were allmasked when not dining. This place had a bad rap for years. It deserves another look. Read more
