We drove into Cleveland, , Texas for an overnight stay and heading in for repair work for our RV Monday morning. Am a retired... chef, so my review is biased. Best Mexican food we have had in East Texas. Birras tacos were perfect!! We also tried namelessenchiladas which were great. Good margaritas. Happy staff, amazing, attentive service. Highly recommend. Me and my husband loved this place and came here fairly often to get good Mexican food. However we were there a few min ago and... our experience was cut short and we were left disgusted when I had a roach crawling on me as we were eating. And this was NOTjust any roach! You have your roaches and you have your nasty roaches which means the place is nasty. We told our waiter and youcould tell this wasn't the first time they have seen one here. And he didn't even clean where he killed it!!!! We left in ahurry. Couldn't even wait for our check we went to the cashier and checked out. She asked how everything was and we told herabout the roach. Her response "I will tell the manager we have never had that before". If it was regular roaches it would havebeen different and not that big of a deal. BUT this was one that you get when your place is filthy and nasty. This is a great place to come out and have a great authentic Mexican plate and the margaritas are a killer. Also, the place has... grown since the last time I was there. The service and food was decent, but the portions were small for the price. I think it was $13.99 for a small bowl of Mac n... cheese with beef fajita meat. I could've sworn that I read on the menu that the dish also included bacon, but it apparently itdid not. However, the server was kind enough to bring out some bacon crumbles. I was at pueblos this Friday night, we request our usual waiter ( I?m from out of town but my sister in law is a regular there... for over 20 year ) but MARIA (our waiter) told us that she will be our waiter and if we don?t like it we can always seat outside??????????? ?Shit ?. I was like, a customer is always right? last Friday we had an excellent night with Estefano, he is veryfriendly guy, we love him, but this lady didn?t let him taking care of us. This is typically our go to Mexican food but I?m not sure what has happened here?.but we will not be back anytime soon. This is... $54 worth of fajitas for 2?!? 5 slices of beef and 5 slices of chicken, onions that might as well be raw and no bell peppers inthe ?sauté?. I returned to confirm that my order was correct and they confirmed. This is pitiful. Then I get home and lidsto the beans were not secure so not only did they leak on my car seat but when I lifted the bag everyone the side of the bagfell to the ground. We were seated quickly and the waiter came within seconds after we at our table. They served chips and a hot and mild salsa and... a queso sauce as well. I really like the more spicy sauce.
