I?ve been going here for many years and it is great food. Best Mexican restaurant I?ve ever been to. No other salsa or queso... compares to Monterey?s. When I moved out of state for a bit I sincerely missed the food and had to eat here every time I wasback in TN. Read more
Asked the price of a pitcher of pina Colada. They left it on table when I was in bathroom. Someone in party got a glass so... didn't try to return it. Drank the rest and didn't even catch a buzz because there was 0 alcohol in it. I talked to the managerthat poured in a blue shirt and he was rude like I was lying. They didn't bring my son's cheese dip till food got out after Ireminded them and it was canned cheese soup along with salsa being tomato paste. Forgot his kid's soft taco so brought him beansn rise only until I reminded them. "They did the same to table next to ours". The 12 dollar burrito was the size of a frozen oneyou buy in a pack at a grocery store. My first and last time... No idea why it was packed out. Go anywhere ealse. Read more
Starting off not liking sanitation. The same guy that just handled money, bussing tables, brought my chips salsa and napkin... wrapped silver ware. No automatic straw delivered with sweet tea. No napkins on the table. I like to use my silverware napkinbut I don't want to leave my "naked silverware" on the bare table, when my initial interaction showed lack of concern forsanitation. Well the lady saw my cheese on the table and brought me extras without me asking, kewl. Menu How do u spell withnot whit (unprofessional menu spelling) Damn stars have to go up bc the salad I GOT was emaculantly superb. My sweet tea camewith a glorious lemon, I freekin dropped on the table. So the salad in a shell was so good I had to eat the bottom out. Lol. Ittasted as good a chicken pot pie crust really good. My flaws :I was not ready to get my order underway swiftly. Lady waitedpatiently though. I spilled my cheese dip needing extra napkins Oops I failed to mix the bowl to get all the rice n cheesegoodies at the bottom. OK enough is enough In conclusion I had to raise the stars to 4 to be fair. So my biggest issue wassanitation and cleanliness. I hope my immune system will kill off any bad bacteria bc I almost walked out. And everyone reallyseems genuinely friendly. The smiles as staff walks by is amazing. Read more
