Reviews for Kang's Boba House in Cleveland, TN
Quality and customer service has declined significantly since the first time we visited. Ramen is excellent quality but a little... high $ considering the rigidity of the ordering process (no substitutions unless you pay extra). Owners are quite curt, notfriendly. No more dining in now which makes this a lot less if a destination, not that it was ever any more than a dining roomwith a pick up counter and self bussing. Bottom line, this is a great ?you tried it once? kind of place. Too bad. Had thepotential to be more. Read more
I paid $32 for two bowls of Ramen and one bubble drink, which isn?t bad for the amount of noodles you get, but the quality/taste... of the food is just.. meh. The noodles were nothing special and the broth had little taste to it. The upside to this place wasdefinitely the drink. I got the Black Tea Boba with popping pearls and peach flavor added. If you decide to make a trip here, Iwouldn?t come in expecting mind blowing Ramen. However, I would definitely like to try more of their Boba flavors. The placeitself is cute. Small with limited seating, but not cramped at all. Read more
We went out of our way during a recent road trip to try the Ramen and boba tea. When we arrived, we were informed that they do... take out only on Fridays and Saturdays. We were disappointed to not try the Ramen as we didn't want to eat it while in the car.I did get a peach pop boba tea. It was not horrible but not as good as other boba tea places I have been. Their pop boba islimited to one option, tropical fruit but they do have a variety of tea flavors. The tea I got had a weak flavor and the bobawas kinda tough, small and not alot of "pop" to them. The ramen was quite delicious and filling. The bubble tea was a treat! I?m going back and taking my sons! It is a bit pricey,... but worth it for the experience. Read more
My son was thrilled to find this place!! It?s definitely NOT the ramen that kept you from starving in college. The portion size... is HUGE and so warm and filling, so come hungry. It?s the 1st place I?ve been to that doesn?t have ?to go? containers and theydon?t offer ?take out?. Their goal, with that, is to ensure your ramen is always hot & fresh. However, they don?t mind youbringing a container with you. They offer different broths and protein choices, including veggie broth and tofu. They have a bigvariety of boba tea flavors and bottles of Ramune soda. If you?re not hip on either one of those, you may want to bring a wateror soda with you. The lack of drink options and ?to go? containers are minuscule once you?ve had your 1st bowl of ramen, Ipromise. I just think it?s important to know up front. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as we have!! ?? ******They have added aneat little section of Japanese snacks and different flavors of Ramune soda. My son thinks pushing the marble down into hisdrink is just the neatest thing, lol. Read more
My husband took me here for a date night and I have to say that, "I love it." It is a great place for a date night here in... Cleveland. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was clean. Also, I love the simple decor in an already beautiful house. Ilove that it a small comfortable local business, and not a chain. The food was great and I can't wait to try other flavorbroths. Went to visit on its debut day and I found the place to be very quaint and homey, and an opportunity to try ramen in a different... style I was used to as well as actual bubble tea. The prices are definitely fair to the quality of the ramen and drinks you getthere, and there are several options which open the doors for multiple visits. Would recommend calling ahead as space is limitedand it's first come first serve, so make sure to check first before making the trip during a time it might be potentially busy.Overall loved the experience and looking forward to see it grow! The recent reviews are, what I feel inaccurate. We cannot judge a business based upon their practices. If you don't want to take... out, then don't eat here and respect the fact they do not want people in their diner right now. Simple. With that being said,my ramen was DELICIOUS. It was decently priced as I am able to make two meals out of it as the portion is huge. (I'd like toadd that America is the only country that has portion sizes for the amount of two people.) I was a little worried trying it, butthe spiciness is good and warms you up just like a good bowl of ramen should. The tea was equally refreshing. I'd add apictures but I consumed my food and drank my tea. People leaving reviews have unrealistic expectations. People do not have tokiss your toes in order to provide good customer service. Cultures are different. Either way, I'll definitely be back. Read more
