We only came here for a pint. The bar atmosphere is beautiful. They have various large taxidermied animals on the walls and what... looks like a well-kept or restored wooden bar section. The bartender was busy when we were there. We were delighted to learnabout the menu, which offers Italian food. If only we didn't have other plans that afternoon. We plan on making a return trip! We had never been here, but drove past it a lot and have been trying to branch out and try places we've never been. The vibe... inside is very clean but totally 80s with 70s/80s music blasting. I've been to a lot of fantastic restaurants in many different cities over my lifetime, but The Woods still stands out as one of... the all time best. I have been coming here on most of my trips to Greater Cleveland for the last ten years and it has neverdisappointed. The food is world class. Even the bread and butter, something I shy away from at most places, is too good to passup. We had clam chowder tonight - California style (a mixture of New England and Manhattan). It was delicious!! The wings arebaked and then fried, creating a really original and unique taste that you'll love. The lobster ravioli blew my mind. Everysingle dish was perfect. And the staff are so friendly! They appreciate their customers and it shows. It's just such a nicewelcoming feeling when you are there; you feel like you're with family. I can't finish this review without talking about theambiance. It is truly is something special. The design of the building, interior, decor, and lighting just creates this reallywonderful environment to spend a couple hours with a date. It's so cozy inside, you will feel like you have been transported toanother place and time. The journey starts as soon as you pull into the cobblestone parking lot and it doesn't end until youleave. The waitress was very nice. She suggested the soup of the day and when we weren't sure how it would taste she gave us a little... bitty sample so that we could taste and then we all bought a bowl. It was so good. But I've always had great service at thewoods. Read more

Today was my first time there and I have to say I was very happy with everything. The atmosphere in this place alone makes me... want to come back. Everyone that I interacted with, even the ones I didn't, was happy, very willing to help, and a pleasure tobe around. The service was just fantastic and I can't even explain how great my food was. I did not see 1 person, rather it be astaff member or customer, that wasn't smiling and just simply having a great night! Thank you to everyone that was theretonight for an amazing experience!
