Very nice urban and modern vibe. Great location at the Cleveland “flats” area, right by the Aloft hotel. Walking distance to... several other places to eat and drink. The food here was good, but the salmon on my grains salad was salty. Everything else about our experience was disappointing. I... had to ask twice for drink refills, I asked three times for the bread, and our server was never apologetic, never smiled. At theend of the meal, I had to request the check even though our server had already brought us a to go box. For the money we spent, Iexpected more from the experience. Read more
WOW! I love food and I can honestly say this was one of my favorite Italian meals out ever! We cook Italian at home so I tend to... be gun-shy at dining out in that genre. Don’t be scared! This charcuterie was insane! The truffle lobster gnocchi was one ofthe best, creamiest, flavorful dishes I’ve ever had. So sad I was traveling and away from home because I would have eaten for2 days on these leftovers! Go there! Make a reservation! My son was in from New York and we stopped in for a quick meal before heading to the Guardian’s team shop so he could... represent Cleveland at Yankee’s Stadium. Always impressed by the service and the quality of food, I knew Lago was the placeto go! I felt safe parking in the attached garage and being a “freeze baby,” it was nice that we didn’t have to walkoutside and could go directly from the parking garage into the restaurant. We were seated quickly and immediately provided withour menu options by the hostess then approached by our server within minutes. He was equally attentive andaccommodating. Service was quick & efficient. The meal presentation looked delicious and the fresh flavors did not lack in theleast! My favorite soup is Italian Wedding soup and I had been craving it for some time. I was impressed that the meatballsremained juicy and the broth was clear & not in the least bit greasy. It was loaded with the right portions ofbroth:veggies:meatballs:yumminess! Flavorful and absolutely hit the spot on a cool, autumn day! There were several businessmeetings and/or professionals conducting their business in the restaurant but that did not deter family patrons like us or othercouples in there enjoying a mid-day meal together.
