First time staying at the cotton house and first time eating at The DMM (Delta Meat Market). Food was amazing, drink was good... and service was great. It was a little pricey(that?s my fault) but you get what you pay for and this was definitely worth it. Iwill definitely be back! Read more
Two stars for convenience alone. Most of the food was cold. I've worked in hotels before and this is the same bagged food that... most places use. The restaurant looks like it would be upscale, but the food is standard hotel fare. The coffee had lots ofgrounds in it. The attendant said he didn't have any help that morning and that he really didn't know what he was doing. The BarFontaine, on the other hand, was great! The staff was attentive, accommodating, and polite. The food was delicious and thedrinks were excellent. The outdoor seating area was nice on a warm evening in September. Read more
We had dinner here last Saturday night. It was outstanding. I had the flat iron steak. It was the most flavorful steak I have... ever had. It was served on top of grits with grilled veggies. It was so dang good, I?ll make the 5 hour drive back to Clevelandjust for this place! My wife had red snapper...served on a medley of veggies that I had no idea went with fish! It wasphenomenal. It?s a casual, but beautiful place. Great, friendly southern hospitality! We will be back! And the moonpie breadpudding was incredible! Sorry...it was the only photo I thought to take...everything was so damned good! Read more
We had lunch during the down week between a Christmas and New Year?s. We were a little disappointed that the tamales were not... available, but the rest of the menu lived up to our hyped up, ?Somebody Feed Phil? expectations. The wedge salad is a thing ofbeauty and is very well a meal in itself. The hot ham and cheese sandwich was perfect. The staff is friendly and the environmentbright and clean. A wonderful place for a meal, and the grits, polenta, and cornmeal are available for purchase. Enjoy! Read more
The Delta Meat Market was a very pleasant surprise. It?s located in the hotel we were staying in (The Cotton House). We went for... dinner and the service was A+. The chef is a James Beard Award nominee, which says a lot. I can?t remember the name of mycocktail, but it was basically a Cosmo topped with bubbly (either Prosecco or Champagne). The first one was good but the 2nddidn?t taste the same. The bartender left out the bubbly. Our server was quick to resolve the issue, so that was muchappreciated. My party of 2 shared the Burrata as an appetizer?it was different but good! I had the scallops and spinach saladas an entrée. The scallops were cooked to perfection (which is hard to do) but the spinach salad didn?t meet the mark. I?ve hadbetter and can make better at home. The presentation of the salad was lacking and the hot bacon vinaigrette both appeared to beand tasted like straight bacon grease. Again, I make a similar vinaigrette at home so this was disappointing. The other guesthad the grilled pork chop which was tender and very flavorful. We shared the moonpie bread pudding for dessert. While it didn?ttaste like moonpie, it was a delicious and very rich dessert. While there are some things that could be better, I?d definitelyreturn. Read more
I visited Delta Meat Market on two separate occasions during a business trip to Cleveland. I stopped in Sunday night as it was... one of the only places in town that isn't a chain that was open. The atmosphere was great, it wasn't too busy so it was nice andquiet. Where to get service was a bit confusing walking in - needed to order at the bar, found my own seat and they brought myhamburger to me. Hamburger was excellent - lots of smokey flavor and the price was right. Being Sunday, they had a very limitedmenu. Draft beer selection is pretty pitiful, but they have some can selections as well. Staff was awesome - personable, approachable, and actually took a moment to chat. I returned my last night in Cleveland - menu was more full, restaurant waspretty full so I sat at the bar. Had a beer then switched to a mixed drink - the Old Fashioned was mixed very well - thebartenders were again awesome, personable, and held conversations with us at the bar. I ordered the steak frites I believe -amazing strips of perfectly-cooked steak over fries. Just awesome. I wish I could have gone back - this was my favorite place inCleveland due to the staff and the clientele who took time to chat at the bar. It was great for an extrovert traveling alone inneed of some social human interaction. Read more
