I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! We have eaten here twice and both experiences were top tier. The staff is... incredibly kind and professional. Summer was our waitress this second time and she was fantastic - very personable and provided5 star service. The atmosphere inside is cozy and sophisticated, it?s a comfortable place to spend an evening. The quality ofthe food is unmatched as well. Had the shrimp and grits for Sunday brunch. Wow, they were excellent, but the pickled tomatoes took this dish to the next level.... The pickled tomatoes added a flavor that meshed perfectly with the other ingredients, making this an outstanding meal. I woulddefinitely get the shrimp and grits again. Great job chef. Read more

Went for our anniversary. I was quite disappointed. The food was okay. Had the salmon which was good... perfect, it came with... these cornmeal pancakes, they didn't add to the dish at all. Also my dish included 4 flavorless okra pieces, it was sotasteless... not even salt. The chicken and dumplings were okay, hubby thought it was a small portion and the chicken neededmore seasoning, I liked it and the pea puree with the gnocchi. The experience took some time also and the bill was more than thewritten price on the menu... they took it off but its a good thing I checked the bill. First time at Root and Branch because we are new the area. Very impressed with the entire meal. The wine selections are... great. Our server, George was very attentive and helpful when ordering. I like that he brought fresh silverware before eachcourse and boxed the leftovers for us. In my opinion, shows they pay attention to details and value the customer. Started withthe fried green tomatoes and they truly are award winning! We split a beet salad and it was good but I think the beets wouldtaste better if julienned versus the chunks. Truly roasting them would enhance the flavor as well. The only suggestion I haveit that they need to build a wall to block the view into the kitchen area. It isn?t a pleasant view and easily remedied with apony wall or a divider. They moved us to a different table and we were appreciative. This restaurant is one of the best in Clermont in terms of food quality and taste. I had the smash hamburger with truffle... fries. My wife had the shrimp and grits. Both were superb. We came because the reviews looked promising and we like to support local businesses. Unfortunately it wasn?t our night to have... the 4/5 star meal. We waited for about 14-20 minutes for a table and about 30 minutes for our meal. We ordered the ?BeetBarbecue Chicken? and the ?award winning shrimp n grits.? Needless to say both were not cooked. There were raw or undercooked?gray? shrimp and when we cut into the leg joint area blood came out. It was horrific and very disappointing. They preparedanother shrimp n grits and the texture of the shrimp was like a cotton ball. I could not eat it. We ended up leaving and goingto find fast food as we were very hungry at this point. We went for dinner. Fried green tomatoes are sensational and a must try. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was pleasant and clean.... Good date place. Server was friendly and attentive.
