Good food, Great service. Their Mofongo is a little Dry, but overall still good.

Hate to post this. This used to be one of our favorite places to eat.The mofongo has always been awesome and we\'ve always... recommended Guavate to friends. This last visit however we noticed entirely new staff and the decor was different so wespeculated maybe new owners. Definitely a different cook. I had the shrimp mofongo which was alright. My wife couldn\'t finishthe chef special of Dorado fish fillet because it was rubbery and didn\'t have much taste. But the 1 star rating is because thefried shrimp my daughter ordered was under cooked! The first bite revealed a mostly raw shrimp under the crispy batter. Wechecked 3 more and same story. We have never had that happen at the many other restaurants we\'ve made that order. The servicewas good and our server was very apologetic. She immediately deleted the cost from the bill. Don\'t know if we\'ll be back. Thiscould have turned out a whole lot worse. My daughter was eating her fries first and my wife wanted to see how good the friedshrimp was after tasting her fish. Great atmosphere, nice staff, and food was delicious!\n\nWe went for the lunch special it was not busy or crowded and yet we... still had to stand at the door to be seated for far too long.\n\nAs we looked through the menu we saw how pricey they charge forthe dinner menu. Thankfully we went during the lunch special business hours.\n\nWell worth it for the lunch special. You get avariety of options to choose from and with your meal comes complimentary bread and salad.\n\nFood was delicious only down sidewas that my meat was cold. But flavor wise and presentation wise everything was good.\n\nAnother down side would be that theserver took way too long in between tables and to give us our checks which we were late. Seeing as we were on a timeconstraint.\n\nOverall experience I would revisit but only for lunch hours and not very often due to slow service. Read more

Delicious as always! I had the Mofongo stuffed with garlic sauce shrimp and for dessert the coconut flan. The flan was delicious... too. The place was not crowded as usual and we got served pretty quickly too. Read more
