Food was all mixed together. The sauce made it inedible. The food in photo was actually 3 different items all squished... together. Food was thrown away. My dogs wouldnt even eat it. All that was able to be eaten was rice and beans. The tacos weremushy. The quesadilla had very little meat. Lettuce on tostada was wilted and brown looking. Chips were stale. Will never eathere again. If I could leave a No-star review I would. I recommend Monterrey's of Clemson as they have great food everytime weeat there. Read more

I needed to find something quickly in Clemson that had covered outdoor seating so I could bring my dog. This fit the bill. They... were very nice about having my dog visit outside. And the service was very prompt in taking the order. The waitress was verynice. And I really enjoyed their ACP steak dish. The horchata, though was exciting in the fact that they even had it, but waskind of disappointing. It tasted watered down to me. Overall, I still enjoyed my visit. Service was really fast. It was a goodvisit. Read more

One star for this place is generous. It was our first time here as we were wanting to try something different. The customer... service was alright but the food was something else. The chips were okay but the sauce did not taste good as all that you couldtaste was cilantro. When we received our food we were in awe for such small quantity with high prices. The steak quesadillasbarely had any meat. We asked a waiter about it and he said "oh, what, you want some more?" Yes, please... But we didn't ask formore. You can judge for yourself in the pictures (by the way, they were not off the kids menu). Two steak quesadillas were$9.50. The ground beef tostadas had barely any lettuce and had an odd taste. The shredded chicken tostada didn't taste bad butagain had barely any lettuce. My husband got the "Los Alambres -Texan" dish which had chicken, steak and shrimp. The dish hadthree shrimp and very little steak for $13 dollars. We will not be returning to this place. My recommendation is for anyone togo to a different Mexican restaurant other than this one. The food was descent. Staff was friendly. The reason for two stars was that they charge extra for everything. Things that are... normally included like guac, side salad, choosing flour tortillas over corn, etc, were extra charges. For instance the smallamount of guac my wife got was $4. They also charged $11 for a medium margarita when the menu says its $9. With a $5 tip ourbill was $60. Normally we get the same amount of food/drinks etc, for $40 - $45, sometimes cheaper depending on where we are. Itwas not worth $60. Read more

Fast, friendly service for lunch on a Sunday. I tried the mole pablano. Shredded chicken covered in mole pablano sauce that... was sweet and mildly spicy. It had a nice complex flavor that the reasonably plain sides worked with. Will definitely comeback and try some of their other dishes. Read more

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant with solid, gleaming wooden tables and chairs. Beautiful paintings on the walls and... super clean. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was not to our liking and seemed overpriced. I ordered achicken quesadilla that cost almost ten dollars and was simply a folded over tortilla with some cheese and chicken inside, aside of chopped iceberg lettuce with a drizzle of sour cream. It didn't come with sides and was on the meal menu where itprobably should just have been an a la cart item. The fajitas my husband ordered didn't come with tortillas, or they forgot tobring them, not sure, and he said it was just, "eh." We also had a strange experience and perhaps it's because they had newhires there (all the restaurants are struggling for help.) The server asked what we wanted to drink and I ordered a chardonnay. She looked at me blankly. I said, "Do you serve wine?" She said she didn't know and had to find out. She left and a minute lateranother server came over and asked what we wanted. I told him another person already had come to the table and he left, but thenhe was huddled, talking to the original server a table away. A third person came over and said, "I understand there's a specialrequest for wine?" OMG I was getting embarrassed now. I said, "Do you have any white wines?" He asked what kind and I said,"Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio?" He said he'd have to find out and left. My husband said to me, "Stop sending peopleaway!" (He was kidding, sort of.) The guy came back and said, "All we have is moscoto." I really am not picky, but I don't likesweet wines so I just said, "That's okay. How about a marguarita?" (Which I know is sweet, but one wouldn't kill me.)The reliefon his face was obvious, and I felt bad because I wasn't trying to be difficult, I've always ordered a glass of wine at Mexicanrestaurants. He disappears and yet another server comes over. He said, "Would you like to order food Read more

My first visit to El Jimador. Very friendly staff. Our waiter was attentive and provided answers to our questions on drinks and... entrees. Unlimited chips with salsa that was out of this world! The entree portions were very large. Absolutely delicious! Thespecial for drinks was a pitcher of Margarita for 18.00. I passed and had Moscato, I believe 6.00, for a decent sized glass. Myfriend had a Corona beer with a lime wedge. The atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. Most wore jeans/ casual. There isoutdoor benches as well as outdoor dining. Read more
