This place is insane! HUGE baked goods, and a big variety. Breads, sweet breads, donuts, pies, muffins... And also fudge. And so... many other things. Also a restaurant with a full menu. Service is very matter - of - fact. Don't expect any warmth. It's also aconvenience store, they sell bait, and gas. Huge parking lot, plenty of accessible parking, entrance. This place has friendly staff delicious pies and desserts but thier main dish foods have gone down in quality because thier soup... tastes like it was from a packet/can instead of "homemade "so, I wouldn't recommend ordering thier soup. Read more
I absolutely love this place. Nelson Bros restaurant is one of the best restaurants, at a truckstop, in the country. You can... get a sugar high just by staring at the multitude of varieties of pastries in their two large pastry cases. Their Donuts aresharable sized, if you're willing to share????. The food is really good, I had spaghetti the first night, not as good as MYspaghetti and I would prefer parmesan cheese over cheddar and mozzarella on my spaghetti. The meat sauce was good, but the bigchunks of tomatoes kind of overwhelmed the meat, and I'm not a big fan of linguini noodles in spaghetti. I had a grilled tunasandwich for dinner the second day and if was fantastic. Next time I'll be trying another menu item, don't know what it will beyet but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Read more
