Reviews for Paul's Chicago Pizza in Clearwater, FL
$28.20(after a $2 tip) for a Chicago style stuffed pizza that has no cheese and very little sausage. A complete rip off if you... ask me, sad to say because after reading a lot of the reviews I noticedthere wasn't too many good reviews on the Chicago stuffedpizza. Now I see nothing but reviews on the thin crust which is not considered Chicago style. Your supposed to eat 2 slices outthe pie and be stuffed with cheese and your topping. Crust on the pizza also was flat like it didn't rise. Will never go backextremely disappointed with the overall quality of the pizza I ordered. I guess if you want a real Chicago style pizza your bestbet is to travel to Orlando and get one from Giordano's...????? Edit reply: since I can't reply back to the owners response Iwill respond here. I'm sorry for writing my honest review and my experience from your establishment. Honestly, it's Sad to seethe response you've posted. I thought since you been around for such a long time you would know how to respond to something youmight not agree on. First and foremost, why would I have to go back 17 miles to speak with a manager. I give any, and allbusinesses 1 chance to prove themselves. Unfortunately, like I mentioned previously there is no second chance especially when Iget such a nice reply. ???? I coming from a restaurant background myself, sounds like your digging yourself a grave with yourunethical response. Yes, cost of food has gone up but it doesn't justify the price I paid for the amount of cheese, and sausageapplied to the pizza. I like to receive what I pay for, wouldn't you? Perhaps, I'd suggest you visit Giordano's and see what areal Chicago stuffed pizza is like. Sorry not so sorry. This has nothing to do with bashing a location is is purely myexperience from your business. Period. Your customer service definitely needs improvement perhaps you should let someone takeover your keyboard. Yours truly J.R. ???? Read more
Had dinner before going to a show at Ruth Eckerd Hall. This was an excellent start to our evening! Ordered the thin crust Meat... Pizza and added mushrooms & onions. Everything about it was excellent! Generous toppings, tasty sauce, and the thin crust isawesome. If I lived in the area I wouldn't be buying pizza anywhere else! Highly recommend. Read more
We love Paul's thin crust! I seriously haven't ordered pizza from anywhere else since we found Paul's Chicago. The standards are... great, cheese and pepperoni, etc. But their specialty pizzas are also awesome! Chicken ranch is a favorite. The house pizza isexcellent. Parmasean garlic knots are addictive, so watch out!!! We've ordered Paul's for parties too and everybody loves it!Ideal because of the cross cut making lots of smaller pieces. Just order already! Ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza over the phone. When I arrived I got a pizza that was super thin crust. I was confused... thinking they only sold Chicago deep dish pizza. Spoke to an employee who told me next time when ordering to specify deep dish. They happily remade the pizza for me and it was delicious! First time trying Chicago deep dish and it did not disappoint! We live in Palm Harbor - almost a 30 minute drive to Paul?s Pizza. Husband insists on driving here to get a pizza. He LOVES the... sausage pizza. He also loves their lunch special (slices and drink), and drives here to dine in whenever he can. He?s beendining here and ordering take out from Paul?s for years. I enjoy his leftovers with him. Tonight, 3/5/22, we phoned in an orderfor take out. He got a large sausage pizza for $16.99. I ordered a calzone with spinach (premium topping which cost extra),fresh garlic and ham for $12.95. With tax, it totaled $32.04. It was worth it. The pizza will last him another day. The same formy calzone. Neither of us finished either order, and we enjoyed most of what we ordered, without getting too full. Note: due tolack of staff, be prepared to call back if your call is not answered the first time. They are extremely busy on the weekends, and that is good for their business. Be patient. Be kind. The food is worth the inconvenience. Read more
Got 6 Chicago dogs and was totally let down! Barely any relish,as you can see in the picture, the dog itself was... hard, rubbery, and tough! Most definitely not David Berg meat or anywhere close to it. I lived in Cicero for 30 years, and was sohappy to find Chicago dogs down here. Unfortunately, it just was not to be! Read more
Chicago pizza is an acquired taste and not many places do it well. This place screams "Windy City" and the number of native... Chicagoans eating in the tables alongside me attest to the fact that they do it right. Would I recommend this place? I wouldtake a sack from Khalil Mack off the Sears Tower into Lake Michigan for a pie from this location. Get the original deep dish, the garlic bread bites, and start diet tomorrow. Read more
Came with a large group, the staff was welcoming and helped us line up tables. Even though it's a walk-up and order at counter... restaurant the server came and checked in. Food came out at a great pace. Pizza was great tasting, fresh ingredients and a lotto chose from. Appetizers were on point too. Had a good meal, good conversation, nice to get our own refills as needed. Willcome again when in town! Read more
