Reviews for Mock's Crossroads Coffee Mill in Clayton, NM
Mocks is a small and super fun coffee shop located in a buulding that has been around since the 1800's! It is like a museum... inside with so much to see. You will be excited to learn that the pastries are made fresh daily, by the owner, and the donutsare also freshly made daily at a store right down the street. They also offer breakfast items, abd the owners roast their owncoffee, which is becoming a lost art. If you are in the area and love coffee, pastries, or just a fun and unique stop for a refreshment, go to Mock's Read more

Stopped to get a latte and a smoothie .... the "smoothie" was poured from a container purchased like at a Wal-Mart and then... blended with ice? That's NOT a smoothie and we canceled that order when we saw what was going on. You know that 3am, bottom ofthe pot coffee you get at a gas station in the middle of nowhere? That was the quality of latte I got. I mean literally. Thatthis place has such high reviews baffles me. Nice store, the coffee cup was cute but the "smoothie" and latte were some of theworst in my 2 week, 4,000 mile road trip. Read more
Mock's IS a hidden gem, as previous reviewers have noted. Their excellent coffee, combined expertly in a hot Breve Latte, was... one of the tastiest I've ever had. Perfect creme on top, too. I sampled a blueberry muffin which was soft and delicate withexcellent taste and blueberry count. Next visit to Clayton and I'll go for a burro or breakfast sandwich. I know I'll besatisfied..... Stopped on the way to Colorado. The veggie burritos are excellent, good price for what you get. Also got an almond milk latte... and it was wonderful. Service was kind and quick. Couldn't see the inside but had no problems with the drive through. Would loveto stop by again. Read more
We had biscuits and gravy, Carmel latte and a white mocha. The biscuits and gravy was delicious- it had sausage too. The... Carmel frappe was also good but the white mocha wasn?t my favorite. It?s a cute place and the people are friendly. We wentthrough the drive through. Read more
What a superbly friendly and quaint little coffee shop in a friendly and quaint little town! I was stopping for some coffee and... breakfast on my way into New Mexico. It was early, I was grimy and in need of caffeine from my previous night's camping. Mock'swas perfect! Friendly staff and a mix of familiar clientele and out-of-towners like me. The guy in front of me in line wasobviously well known to the proprietors as well as many of the customers - in the process of chatting, he picked up the tab oftwo of his acquaintances in line ahead of him! I want to include Clayton on my itinerary of future travels just so I have anexcuse to stop back in here and eat again. My bagel was perfectly toasted (nearly burned - per my explicit order) and the coffeewas delicious (roasted in house just the day before, according to the cook). Recommended most highly! Read more
Ordered burritos on board for $5.50 each & was charged $6.99. Was told price increase that day & offered refund of difference... which I repeatedly asked for but did not receive. Place was full of flies and bathrooms out of order. People were unfriendly.Heard customer leaving before us complaining. I should have gone down the road. Read more
