I really liked this place. I grew up in Alabama, so it was nice to see a country fried steak on the menu. I ate all but the... last bite before remembering to take a photo. It was disappointingly small, but completely delicious, and with the rest of theplate I didn't feel underfed. I also ordered coffee, which I rarely do - at home all I drink is Dunkies, cold, half milk, witha lot of Splenda, but I was craving that diner/truckstop coffee from my door to door sales days, and this was delightfullyreminiscent, full bodied and tasty. Had a whole glass of whole milk with it. Wife had French toast with berries, and ahamsteak. The decor was chess-themed. St Louis has a thriving chess community, and there were photos from the chess museum herein town. There are several stores. If the others are as good as this one, there should be one near anyone in the area. Folks,if you like diners, try this one. I'll be going back. Read more
Good mood, good food. Great experience across the board at Kingside Diner in St. Louis. Nice restaurant with open seating and a... spacious bar area. Flat screens TVs are visible from almost every area throughout the restaurant. The music selection was prettygood. Fast and friendly service. Our server Tyler did a great job. Everything was delicious. The drinks were good as well.Definitely dropping by again to try something new on the menu next trip to the Lou. Read more
Great brunch or breakfast spot. It is a little small so it can be a crowded. I had to sit at the bar for my meal but they sat me... right away. Amazing food. We got a burrito and biscuits and gravy. The cheddar biscuits are amazing with good chunks of sausagein the gravy. Read more
Had a fantastic lunch at Kingside Diner. Ordered the Chicken Sandwich which is juicy and not too crunchy, had a delicious... special type of mayo on there, and coleslaw on the sandwich. There are two types of fries that I'm a big fan of in this world:crinkle cut and whatever you call the type of fries at Kingside. You can look at my picture for a reference but I just love thecrispy texture of them. Also, Alayna was my waitress and she was very attentive and personable and I can only hope that on mynext visit I can have her be my waitress again. Read more
The avocado toast was not edible. Very strange taste and was a spread, not a "real" avocado. The eggs were strange as well. ... Sadly we were very disappointed. When we told our waiter he said he been told that before but didn't offer to deduct bill. Read more
Everyone in our group was pleased with their food. Service was friendly and fairly timely. Will definitely come again and would... recommend to friends. Probably could have given 5 stars, but I hold that back for exceptional. Read more

Kingside in Clayton was very good breakfast choice. We were having breakfast early before the wedding day of my son 11/5/22... began with pictures, wedding cake delivery to the hotel LeMeridian down the street.. An excellent breakfast venue and populartoo. I gave it a 4 only because it took 10 minutes before any one came by to ask us if we wanted coffee before ordering. We hada busy day ahead of us.
