Well, after much hype on a local social media group and the fact that I drive by this location pretty much every day on my way... to work, I thought it was about time to walk through the doors and check out Camacho's Famous! We were quickly greeted andbrought to a table right away. It did take someone a bit to get over to us to get our drink order, but since we had time tolook over the menu we were able to place our whole order rather than just our drinks. Speaking of drinks, adding root beer tothe menu would be great. We started off with some fried cheese raviolis...with their signature sauce. The raviolis were tasty, but the sauce was the star of this appetizer. It was a pretty creamy four cheese blend inside the raviolis, which was verygood. The sauce on the other hand - such a great flavor, certainly not a canned sauce. Our pizza order was a Deep Dish withpepperoni, onions, and sweet peppers...this is our 'go-to' order for any pizza place. The pizza came out sooner than expectedwas placed on the sturdy stand on the table. For the record: It was our responsibility and job to dish out the pizza, if itfell off of the stand for no apparent reason, it would have been completely OUR fault because our waitress placed it on thestand and did nothing else to it. Needless to say, we had absolutely ZERO issues with the pizza falling or the sturdiness ofthe stand...but, I digress - on to the pizza. Delicious, delicious, delicious! I am not from Chicago and have never been toChicago, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express once and have frozen Lou Malnati's pizzas delivered, so that counts forsomething, right? House made sauce and crust was just right, the cheese was delicious too. It had the right consistency, saltiness, and pull when transferring slices to our plates. The toppings were generously spread over the whole pie as well, sothere was no disappointment there...and the amount of veggies was just right. This was a really good pizza guys.. Read more

We stopped by Camacho's tonight after hearing lots of good things about their hot beef sandwich. It did not disappoint! There... was a sign by the front door saying they were short staffed today. Not once did we feel forgotten or ignored. The two youngpeople working the floor were phenomenal. You could see the care and attention they gave each table. The service, even for beingshort staffed, was quick, friendly, and efficient. The food was hot, flavorful, and exactly what we wanted. We will be back! Read more

Fantastic experience! We ate here for the first today and we had an awesome time! We were prepared for the long wait, as thats... what most of the negative reviews mention, so we did not mind at all. We are from the Chicago area and the food here is made sowell, and it reminded us of home. We had the thin crust pizzas and mozzarella sticks with fries. Everything was so good! Theircrust is made from scratch, and so is their sauce and many other ingredients. You can tell by taste, texture and quality. Theatmosphere is also comfortable and the staff is so friendly! Yes the wait for the pizza was long, but good things come to thosewho wait. Come prepared to stay awhile, enjoy some appetizers, drinks and good company, and the pizza will come out before youknow it, and it will be worth the wait. We plan to come back soon to try the deep dish and italian beef! Read more

Great pizza! Definitely only pizza here in Clarksville that is Chicago deep dish style! Camacho needs to look into a deeper... pizza to be really competitive with the deep dishes! The sauce is what makes this place stand out as well! Get there right whenthey open as they have a busy dinner hour! I also recommend if you order a deep dish to order it first as it always has taken1hr to 1hr and 15 minutes! Read more

Chicagoan here. The dogs were alright. Almost indistinguishable from a few joints back in the city, but the bun was just a bit... too stale. The deep dish was acceptable. The crust was below malnatis and couldn't get close to beggars. The cheese had theright flavor. If you have been looking for the proper deep dish outside of the Chicagoland area, you know how important therich, salty and stringy stuff matters. The bad: the place is obviously "in beta" as of August 2022. All the pieces are there, but the service and ambiance is just not there. Avoid around sunset- they don't have any blinds, and you will be squinting hardwhen waiting 1.5 hours for your food. Read more

This place is still getting its footing?.the menu is small. Only 4 types of pizza, can be made thin crust, stuffed, or deep... dish. The stuffed and deep dish pizza takes 45mins-1 hour to make and maybe longer during peak times. They offer Italianmeatball sandwiches, hotdogs, salads, and fries and fried mushrooms for appetizers. They have tiramisu and cannolis fordessert. They also have beer and coke products. We had a water, a Dr Pepper, a thin crust pizza and a meatball sandwich andspent just under $40 for our food, there is a surcharge for using card. Read more
