Reviews for The Caboose in Clarksburg, WV
CALLED AND GOT Left on hold by owners. So just went there. Ordered a family dinner. Brought out a single. Then took the food... they brought out back to the back to add it to our family pasta. We did not eat none of that when we got it home. Thats not howu do things. Got one small salad and a medium. Not exactly for 4-6 people as advertised. Got two ranch and one house saladdressing. Got no bread AT ALL. Started the order almost two hours before i got it. Left on hold. Called and called back and gota generic voicemail. This place has went down hill fast. The owner?s daughter is very rude. We have went in and she has beenbehind the bar and we leave and go somewhere else. If u bag up food and sit it down by customer u do not take it back to theback and do who knows what w it. Read more
It was very pricy for extremely small portions. For 2 ?jumbo? crab cakes it was $22. They were barely bigger than a average... meatball. The side of potatoes was about 5 halves. It all had really good flavor, but it was definitely not worth what was spent Read more
You know you had great Italian food when you need a nap afterwards. Plan ahead for a nap if you?re going to eat here. Just... finished eating. Sooo good that I stuffed myself. Portions are generous, prices are great, staff is wonderful. Best Italianfood I?ve had since I was a kid. Read more
Sort of expensive for small portions. My family and I tried this the other night for the first time and were sort of... disappointed. We ordered an appetizer for $11 that gave us each one bite, although the crouton hard bread was plenty (Iunderstand that sort of bread is a thing, but it's not my cup of tea). We were told the marinara sauce was the best, and threeof us got pasta dishes with the marinara sauce that just tasted plain. We finished our meals with hopes of leftovers but if wethought the appetizer portion was small then we shouldn't have been surprised when the pasta dishes were also small. As such, there were no leftovers. Which was fine as we will have a chance to try a different restaurant today. Service was good, as wasthe atmosphere. Read more
Excellent food and service, good portions, reasonable prices, choose your own ambience depending on if you sit on the dark or... brightly lit side. My only gripe is the very small parking lot. I've eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. Read more
Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at Eat Well Travel Often and SNDTRAVELS Well it says Italian restaurant but not... really. Does have some pasta and pizza but it's about 1/3 of the menu. Having said that I didn't even see that it was Italian, I just looked at the reviews and decided to give it a try. My server (Jenna) was friendly and helpful with the menu. I chose thesalmon salad with the poppy seed dressing on the side. Good choice. It would have been perfect but I like my skin crispy andthis was not. Having said that, the truth is it didn't matter. I saw the burnt edges (which I like) and wondered if it would betender and not dry but the meat was just right. Best of both worlds with the char and tender juicy meat. The salad was crisp andthe poppy seed dressing was good. The dressing is a little sweet so I suggest getting it on the side. My only complaint is thatthe salad needed more spring mix to enhance the flavor and the presentation. Overall I would return to try it again. Recommended???? Read more
This is a nice little place to visit. The waitress we had was really sweet. The food is a little under flavored for me, but I... did like their french toast. I really like the ambiance of this little place. It looks really neat inside and I would definitelylike to visit again. Read more
Food sucks no meat on our Italian sandwich, poor quality. We used to love this place but it?s went down hill drastically.... Muriel?s or Oliverio?s is definitely a much better option even Raymond?s Read more
