We stopped for lunch because of the good reviews but were sadly disappointed. My BLT consisted of two pieces of sliced bread... toasted almost black, a lettuce leaf, 2 pieces of tomato and one tiny piece of what looked like the bacon that you can buy readycooked in a packet from the local supermarket. I had asked for cheese to be added and for salad instead of fries. I was charged$5 extra for a thin piece of pre-sliced cheese and a scoop of soggy lettuce drenched in dressing. I wish that I had sent thefood back but we had waited some time, had a long drive ahead of us and my husband's club sandwich was just about OK. Read more

We stayed at the Inn recently, went to have a meal, were told that there was a 45 minute wait for a table, and a table was... alloted. When we came back, our table had been given to someone else, and we were THEN told there would be at least a 40 minutewait for food!! Not wanting to go out, we agreed. Ordered starters only, just for speed. Whilst the scallops were good, ( butonly 5), the turkey and vegetable soup was just boiled water with cubes of carrot and turnip, and an occasional piece of turkeybreast. Simply dreadful. The next day we were travelling the opposite direction, and since the Quality Inn was closed forlunches, and we hate fast food chains, we decided to give the Stellar Kitchen another chance. Big mistake. We ordered onestarter of soup, having expressed our opinion of the soup the previous evening, and pan fried cod for both, with an extrahelping of stir fried vegetables instead of fries. The cod was good, but VERY small and we were horrified to find that the stirfried vegetables consisted of only cubes of carrot and turnip, EXACTLY the same as served in the watery soup (which was onlymarginally better than the night before.) Nowhere in the world could you find only carrot and turnip in a stir fry. I amSTILL incredulous. The servers were very pleasant, and helpful, but I rather feel that even THEY were embarrassed at having towork in such dreadful conditions with such a dreadful chef. SUCH a shame in a very pleasant dining room with suchpotential. The one star was for the cod and the scallops. Read more

One doesn't have a lot of choices for restaurants traveling along the Trans-Canada Hwy 1, and this is a disappointment. Agree... with another reviewer that it was outrages for charging $4 for a small bunch of salad with a pre-packaged sauce if you opt outof the fries. The fries aren't good either. The patty on the burger is pretty dry & flavorless. The service was slow & took 4of us over an hour for a quick lunch with fish & burger. Only one & a half persons were waiting the entire restaurant. Glad thatdidn't have a deadline to beat. Read more

Me and my partner both ordered the bacon cheeseburger. I made my fries into a poutine. Little did I know, poutine here means... they're going to cover your entire plate in gravy. My burger bun was sogged. Also you couldn't taste the bacon or the beef inthe burger because it was overpowered by the intense flavor of chili powder. If it weren't for it being the end of the night wewould have went elsewhere and complained but you live and learn. Also, the lady at the door seemed very annoyed when deliveringour food when I asked how payment worked. It was the end of the night so I understand being tired but patience goes a long way. I paid $14.00 for 1 piece of pan fried cod with ONE scrunchin! Then because I didn't want the fries that came with it I had to... pay another $4 for a salad. So I paid $18.00 plus tax for 1 piece of pan fried cod with a small salad!!!! This is outrageous! Wewill never est at this restaurant again during out stay!!! Read more

We both had the seafood linguine and it was amazing! The salmon was hands down the best salmon we have ever tasted!

A great location in a small community, with a lovely view . Menu has lots to offer with great prices . Service was... excellent Decent portions but the food itself lacked creativity and flavor in a serious way. Which was shared by the othercouple sitting beside us Read more
