This place is my go to morning spot. Not only do they know me by name but the also have my favorite drink ready before I even... walk in the door. The Barn Cafe reminds of the small mom and pops shops I grew up with as a kid. It's great having places likethe Barn Cafe offering authenticity uniniqness and overall great customer service! Found it to be very pricey for breakfast. Two of us, eggs, sausage, toast, and home fries, we normally pay around $20 just... about anywhere else; bill came to $45 with tip. Portions are generous, I think... Could just appear to be since it's all piledon a medium sized paper plate with your plastic fork and knife. Seems to be another order at the counter, prepay, self servicebeverages, and drop the ball in quality and customer service restaurant that seems to be popping up all over the place.Personally I feel that when you pay ahead no one puts forth any effort to make sure you are happy or to earn that tip. Excellent service, tasty food, and local art on the walls. I have ordered the turkey reuben and the loaded grilled cheese (on... panini). Both were excellent (but a little pricey, being served with only a nice dill pickle spear and cheap potato chips thattaste more like salt than potato). *update (reply to response)* For sure, all food is pricey these days. And the qualitysandwich is definitely worth it. The only thing I was disappointed in would be the included chips on the side, which I shouldremember to decline in the future to avoid wasting food :) Read more
