It's a cozy tiny shop. I have been to T&joy multiple times before but it's more of a hit or miss when ordering boba drinks. I... ordered the milk tea boba and the thai tea boba. I wasn't a fan of it this time, the drinks tasted watered down. Read more

Poor guy was working by himself but did an admirable job. The bobas themselves were smallish and on the weak side. No firmness... at all. Extra star for the hardworking staff. Read more

Delicious boba/bubble tea shop. Brewed fresh fruit teas/black/oolong teas are delicious. Add boba, jelly mix ins. Fruit smoothie... are also on the menu. You can find the usual customizations here. By sugar, ice, boba, fruit and rainbow jelly. Pudding is alsoan option. Various milk teas are on the menu as well. I ordered a strawberry smoothie with boba, mango green tea with rainbowjelly, and boba milk tea which were fresh and delicious. Great find walking around Claremont near the Metrolink station! Came here for a late lunch and the bento boxes are beautifully presented and taste great. I had the popcorn chicken and asked... for it to be spicy, the chicken delivered a great kick. The salad in the bento is a subtle and sweet dressing. Also enjoyed theboba and there is a deal right now for their anniversary buy one get one fifty percent off. Read more

Surprisingly really really good tonkotsu ramen. I've been disappointed by the food at plenty of tea shops, but T&Joy is in a... class of its own. Hearty and flavorful without too much oil. The chasu was also generously thick. I also recommend getting thelavender milk tea. Very prominent flavors with no artificial sweetness. Read more

tl;dr: * great drinks/desserts/even lunch, tons of variety * durable, reusable cups! * ideal work environment: not too crowded,... free wifi, lots of outlets * most friendly, casual staff T & Joy is my favorite place in the Claremont Village and my favoriteplace for boba within 10 miles. They have tons of fantastic options for tea, cremas, coffee, and smoothies as well asscrumptious bubble waffles, paninis, and ramen that's surprisingly good for a place not dedicated to making it. Additionally, the atmosphere beats most coffee shops in Claremont: spatious but intimate (6 tables inside, 2 outside), popular but rarelycrowded (always at least one open table, even at peak times), and so welcoming but in the leave-you-alone-to-work sort ofway. For the boba lover, T & Joy has your typical variety of teas and toppings. Their menu simplifies options to not overwhelmthose unfamiliar with how to order boba, but don't be afraid to ask for something not explicitly listed. They also take requestsfor certain ice and sugar levels. Note that the boba here is smaller than normal, though not quite mini-boba small. I like itbecause it comes up the straw easier, but some of my friends still prefer the normal size. However, the boba is alwaysconsistent in texture, a great balance between squishy and chewy. Their boba-to-drink ratio is also almost always perfect. T &Joy's other toppings (aloe, grass jelly, red beans, etc.) are well up to snuff, but I usually stick to plain boba. The drinksare reasonably priced, too: most normal sized drinks with one or two toppings will come out to $4-5, roughly the same price asdrinks at Tocaja but with a lot more variety available. One of my favorite things about T & Joy is their reusable cups. Even inthe bay area, I have never been to a boba place that serves drinks in reusable cups, and it can be painful to see those bobaplaces' trash cans so crammed with finished drinks. The cups come in two sizes (average sized "regular" and "large") w Read more
