I have been meaning to stop by the Arepa Place while in Cincy. I am usually in the city for an event or to meet up with someone... and then I am gone. When buying comic books, I walk by here often. This past weekend, I went to pick up my son from UC and wedecided to eat there. I do not regret the decision. The food was fresh and it wasn't as long as I thought it would take (goodfood equals a long wait time - and well worth the wait). The place is small but big enough for people to sit down and eat. Inoticed they also sold items I consumed as a kid in NYC. So I went ahead and copped a few items (cream of coconut for mycoquito!). I will definitely return here with the family. Read more

Arepa Place is one of my favorite restaurants in Cincinnati. The corn empanadas are heavenly. Everything that I have eaten there... is delicious and their salsas are so fresh and zesty. It?s small inside but if it?s a good weather day there is plenty ofoutside seating. 5 STARS!!! For sure. Read more

Celiac safe. I believe the entire menu is gluten free, as is their fryer. Most importantly, nearly the entire menu can be... made dairy free! I believe they are also nut free (call to confirm). The cashier was very knowledgeable and helpful. Did Imention the food is delicious as well? Oh yeah :-) The dining area is small, but there is plenty of seating outside aroundFindlay Market. This amazing restaurant is a must visit for allergy sufferers. It will not disappoint! Read more

I came here to get the empanadas. They have a crunchy corn exterior that is really good. In my opinion they are over priced. I... got 2, one beef one chicken. Although I thought the taste was good, and the verde good as well, they were small and didn?t havea lot of meat. I spent $8 on 2. After I ate my friend decided to go to the bbq place next door. He got a pulled pork sandwich. His $7 sandwich was HUGE. It had enough meat that after he ate his sandwich he could have made 2 more sandwiches with the meatleft over and he said it was good. I definitely regretted my decision to eat here instead of next door considering thedifference in amount for how much money we both spent. Read more

it was my first time having arepas and wow 10/10 recommend. the meal is big enough to split if you wanted and has such good... flavor and texture (the fried plantains was such a new-to-me and tasty addition). when I was there it was a little slower so meand my girlfriend got to chat with the owner who was so incredibly king and friendly and we got to learn a little bit abouttheir history and the process of making the food.
