Short trip to the Symphony Hotel for drinks and jazz on a Saturday night. Wow, great 4 piece jazz ensemble.... Talking allowed... (not all jazz clubs allow it). Relaxed atmosphere, no cover charge, beautiful setting and friendly, helpful staff. Can't sayenough about the jazz, very nice. Drinks very good too. I even had a very nice organic red wine. Thank you Symphony! We'llbe back. (If this review helps you choose a place to go, LIKE it. I need the encouragement!!) Read more

Rooms were very clean, s and comfortable. The continental breakfast was lacking. The staff was friendly however, and the privacy... was great! They had constant classic music playing in the main areas at all times, which was a nice touch. The TV was überslow. Kept giving me a "storage full" message. Overall, we would return. Read more

The location is great. However, I can't recommend this hotel. The shining lights from the hallway and outside light up the... room making it really difficult to sleep. They give you sleep masks on your pillow, because they know this is an issue but theywere uncomfortable. Without them though, the light is super bright and it is impossible to sleep. Also, the check indirections mention complimentary breakfast. However, most of the items listed were not complimentary. It is really confusingbecause what was complimentary was listed with what you have to pay extra for. I believe it was $18.95 for eggs and bacon. Thecomplimentary items were basically coffee. The manager in the morning at checkout seemed rude and didn't greet us at first. Heseemed to with others. It was a really off putting encounter and a fitting end to a bad experience. Read more

Charming and delightful small boutique hotel. We stayed here for two nights for the Blink Festival - and this hotel was in the... perfect location! We stayed in the Mozart Room, which was spacious and so comfy. Everything was perfect: comfy bed, nicecoffee service, quiet room. The rooms are all cleverly decorated for the composer in the name. So fun. Big shout out toMelissa, our inn keeper. She was fabulous, took great care of us the whole time. Melissa has a great love and knowledge of thecity, and was always ready with recommendations as needed. Loved the advance texts so we knew exactly what to do to find thehotel and check in. Free garage parking was a great convenience. We loved our tasty brunch on Saturday am - try the Strada -so good. We felt right at home, right away. This is an intimate, yet private hotel. Felt like we were staying at a privateclub. Read more

Symphony is a unique, pleasantly so, boutique that does all facets quite well. We stayed 2 days. Ate, drank, back patio... tailgated, music trio both evenings, attended FCC V Crew game. Marvelous. My 4 star on service is not because there was badservice. Let me explain; all staff are attentive pleasant and focused upon service. Some, not all, are quite young, inrestaurant & lounge area are absorbing much quite quickly, getting great experience. Sometimes they are learning with a bit of aguests help. If you as a guest are of a temperament to be abrasive go somewhere else. If instead you are capable of recognizinggood young people intent upon providing quality service, be engaging and you will really enjoy. An example, say you like adrink or food done a special way and you believe all places & people do it your way, talk about your specific expectations withthese young folks. They will accomplish your needs. Don't be shy. Everything and every person, was quality. Read more

I enjoyed my stay at the Symphony Hotel. The rooms were cute and full of extra details that made it stand apart from big hotel... chains. Checking in and out was convenient and efficient, and the parking garage was a one to two minute walk away (and free!!)The host was amazing. She took extra time to show me where local walkable restaurants were on a map already conveniently placedin the room. I definitely recommend and will stay again if/when traveling to Cincinnati. Room was fine. One other reviewer said something about the floor in the shower being rocks. I agree, it was uncomfortable. ... Otherwise, the room was fine. BUT, I would not recommend staying here on anything other than Friday or Saturday night. I senta text about an hour before arrival as was requested. When I got there, I had to walk around until I found the housekeeper whotook me to the manager in a different section not far from the entrance. Well within earshot but never made an attempt to greetme even though he got the text of my arrival. Night came and went and since I stayed on a Sunday night, I got up Monday morningto have breakfast and check out. I went to the area that I assumed the continental breakfast should have been. The only choiceI saw was some yogurt and instant oatmeal. Somehow I expected something a little more. I went back to the manager and askedabout the breakfast and he said that he could go and make me something. Now when I first arrived, he could not find it inhimself to come to the door and greet me, or even yell out to come to where he was at, if he could not get up for that, howmotivated are you to make the wife and I breakfast? I was not going to put my faith in that meal. We stayed here because itseemed different and a boutique hotel I thought would be fun. I understand not being busy during the week, but maybe you shouldjust close for the week instead of just having bare bone service. Read more

Adorable, well-run hotel full of character! The room was adorable, the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, and the food... was excellent. The bed was comfy, parking is complimentary, as is breakfast and in room snacks. It was within walking distanceof Memorial Hall (3 minute walk if that) and lots of great restaurants plus Washington Park. The next time we have plans in OTR,we will definitely be staying at the Symphony again. Read more
