Steak n shake has changed quite a bit since I was last there probably because of COVID. Everything has gone fairly self-serve,... doesn't seem to have servers anymore, you just use a touchscreen to order, honor system get your own drink and then wait foryour order number to be called on the intercom to come up and grab it, and that's for dining in... Haven't been since pre-pandemic. The food is still good, but otherwise it might as well be McDonald's. The staff was friendly... but everything was self service except the grill. Kiosks for ordering, self-service drink machines, and carry your food to yourown table. I appreciate the effort to keep costs down, but this was not at all the experience I was expecting. Read more

Went through the drive thru today and I ordered a number 3 Frisco melt and fry with a cookies n cream shake. A kids steak burger... meal with apple juice and fry. 1 single Frisco melt.....let's just say customer service was ok. Got thru pretty quick, but foodwas poor. I literally got a all grease Frisco melt and a half fry for one meal. The rest was ok but not up to any standards.Even for a fast food I was bad. Not impressed with the food at all. Read more
