Reviews for Skyline Chili in Cincinnati, OH
It's alright. The food came out quickly, but sometimes my drinks empties by the time the server checks up on us. They seemed a... bit understaffed. The food is good. Personally I love Skyline! Skyline in general doesn't have a lot of food options. They arealso getting a tiny bit expensive for a fast food restaurant. Plan on spending $12 - $20 per person. Service: 3 stars Food: 4stars Price: 3 stars Atmosphere: 3 Read more
A lady recommended this restaurant in the airport shuttle. I gave it a try. It?s more like comfort food. It?s alright. It?s not... my favorite though. But i checked it from my list. I already tried! From what i ordered, i like the Cheese Coney the most. Idon?t like the spaghetti (there?s nutmeg taste) and the chili (too thick). Read more
Had lunch here while it was raining outside. Didn?t expect much as this was one of the Chili places first opened in Cincinnati... back then - so here we were trying the Greek-style Chili. If you dine in, you can find your seats by yourself and the staffwill come with the crackers and two small bowls for you to pour the crackers and ask what drinks and food would you like toorder. But it was a bit different for us since it was our first time here, so we asked for the menu because we had no idea whatto order (not like the others as we believe they have known the regulars) while ordering drinks ? I thought they would give usthe menu first then serve the drinks while we could order the food so the buffering time won't take too long as the waiting timefor the drinks can be our chance to study the menu since it shouldn't take a long time with a compact list of menu. Nonetheless, the staffs and service were super great since they are very attentive and had quick responses also they made the best time toclean up the mess both on the tables and floor which was great so the place won't look so messy as people come and go in theshort amount of time. Food-wise, I got the 3-way so it's the spaghetti, chili, and cheese while my friend got the 4-way with anadditional onion. There is also the 5-way where you can get both onion and beans ? you can choose either one when you order4-way. Also, they have three sizes of small, regular, and large. It was so delicious??! The meal was the highlight of my day andthe chili has a super authentic flavor as I could sense some herbs/spices.. maybe cumin included in it if I'm not mistaken.Overall, the food was great and I could say it was one of the comfort food that we might have in our lives and that is whypeople love it!! Super recommended when you're around in Cincinnati :-) Read more
I'm not from the Cincinnati area and I perfectly understand the importance of tradition. Skyline Chili has been a staple for the... area for a long time and the customer service was excellent but the product just isn't good. The chili tasted overcooked, overseasoned, and had way too much poor quality cheese. I'm just a rando on the internet but I think Skyline could benefit fromrevamping their menu a bit to match consumer preferences in the 2020s. Vegan options, other healthier soups, and higher qualityingredients would elevate the brand and its perception. I don't want to see Skyline end up like Big Boy - a boomer staple thatfades in lockstep with the customer base. Read more
Never disappointed! Always our first stop when we come from Texas to visit our family!
Great service and food as usual, the daughter and I must visit when we are in the area.
Skyline is all around a good time. ? Order the funnel fries but wait till the end of your meal to get them.
Skyline is always great. Whenever I visit Southern Ohio, I have to get my fix. I love the veggie 4-way and the black bean... burrito. As I recall, Skyline's Greek salad is yummy, though I haven't had one in a while. Skyline has high standards. It'salways clean, and I've never had bad service there. Read more
