Stopped as a 1st timer at P. Ridge as we traveled through the city. I had the fries and gravy along with a double decker. ... Fries were crisp, gravy was like a religious experience and the sandwich exceeded my expectations. Not much to see here, justgood food, good service, and a good portion size at a more than fair price. OUTSTANDING! Read more

Really reasonable prices on their menu compared to most other restaurants. Limited seating available inside. It was extremely... busy when I stopped here for lunch. There were no seats available so I asked a family if I could sit on the end of their table. They allowed me to sit there, then without notice, my bill was paid in full by that family. It was really unexpected but verygenerous. Food was good, portions were large, prices were low. This all makes for a positive experience. Read more

First of all be warned they only accept cash. This is only posted on the register and the server did not inform us. The good:... You must try the gravy and cheese fries. They were very good. The sandwiches, chili, chicken fingers were all tasty. It isamazing that the price for most items is extremely reasonable. The bad: The corn and green beans come straight out of a can andare microwaved without adding any seasoning. Overall: This is a nice little greasy spoon that can make some good sandwiches andamazing gravy fries at a very reasonable price. Read more

I was driving thru town on my way home to NY after a long cross-country trip. This was my third time driving thru Cincinnati ?... the first two times I completely forgot to stop and try the city?s famous dish, Chili 5-ways. There was no way I was going tomake that mistake again. So after a quick Google search, and reading a couple Yelp reviews, I decided to take a chance onPleasant Ridge Chili. And oh boy, did I select the perfect place for a memorable, authentic experience! I sat at the breakfastbar and immediately was greeted by an extremely friendly waitress. I told her I was driving through to NY and how much I?ve beenwanting to try Chili 5-ways for years but kept forgetting to stop. She not only guided me on what to get, but also suggested toget the fries w gravy too. So I did! While waiting, I began chatting w a nice female customer from Cincinnati and explained toher how much I?ve been waiting to try their city?s famous dish! After a very nice conversation, she left, and it wasn?t until Iwas ready to pay my bill that I realized she paid for my tab without me even knowing it! I was floored. What hospitality andkindness! It was a moment I will never forget and a gesture that I promise to pay forward to someone else. As for the food, itdidn?t disappoint! Everything I hoped it would be and more! You would be doing yourself a disservice if you are driving thru anddon?t stop here for the authentic Cincy diner and chili experience! Just an overall great place w the friendliest of people! Youcan bet I?ll stop back again if I ever find myself driving thru again! Read more
