Eventually I think we as customers need to stop creating excuses for restaurants. The service was slow and needed updated... several times on things we asked for as a table or needed. At the lunch hour it also took 50min to get food which isn't ideal atthat hour. Sure run me the whole "they are short staffed" or "bear with us through these hard times" but your prices aren'tgoing down and you aren't managing your capacity to output. Stop seating if you can't handle the volume. Stop collecting moneyif you can't deliver. Also attached is a $28 burrito. Upped the review for GM's response (see below). Read more
Excellent Margaritas and Salsa with Chips. The Taco Birrias were on a category on their own...hands down recommended.
Mesa had a very unique feel to it. It is located in a pretty happening area of Hyde Park, and I decided to try something new.... The recommendations from the staff were great, and they were very respectful and pleasant. The restaurant itself feels a littleuninspired, but the food and drinks speak for themselves. The jalapeno infused karrikin tequila (Cincy made) made for one of thebest spicy margaritas I have found in the city. The flautas were recommended to me, and they were fire. I loved every bite. Thebirria tacos definitely had the right taste and by no means were bad, but I did not find them to be special like the flautas.Overall a great experience with the staff and dining. Read more
Nestled in the town of Hyde Park slightly north of the city of Cincinnati, we found Mesa Loca. It is on the corner of Hyde Park... Square. Easy to find accessible parking all around, the place has a very welcoming, comfortable vibe. It is an excellent spotfor date night, girls night, family night or single night. They have a well stocked and beautiful bar, awesome wall art andsuper cool light fixtures, but how's the food? Well, I most definitely saved the BEST for last, because WOW! The Birria tacoswere so full of flavor and spicy they were absolutely perfect, but our favorite part was the starter of freshly made guacamoleand queso dip with spicy chorizo! We most definitely filled up on the best authentic Mexican food the city has to offer. We wereso pleased with the food, atmosphere of the space and the Absolutely perfect service. We’ve been to Mesa Loca twice now, and each time was fantastic. The birria tacos are insanely good, but so is everything else... we have had. The drinks are spot on. Service is great and is quick. We went to a tequila tasting lunch, and it was such a greattime we will go to the next one they have. Read more
Follow Up Nov 22' This use to be my fav Mexican spot. But 1yr later this place has changed Drastically. Managerial changes & the... food & the service. We tried to whether the changes but Sorry, it's just declined. I wouldn't recommend this place like I useto. Those pictures are from earlier this year. Read more
